The stairs thing is meaningless.

I ran a marathon with achilles tendonitis that made stairs almost impossible. Stairs are a unique deal, one that has little impact on your ability to run.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

He can't even go down STAIRS and Doc thinks he can play?  Please, just let the poor man get his surgery already.
If I am reading his quote correctly, I think Doc is just saying that there is a chance.  As in, 0.000000001 chance but a chance (as is, "so you're saying there is a chance?").
Dumb and Dumber.... ;)
I knew exactly what movie I was thinking about but just couldn't think of the name at that moment.  Thanks.

I don't know about anyone else, but I have that gut feeling that KG is coming back.

Doc changes his mind every day.  I wonder if he's doing it to keep potential oppenents guessing?

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
Chuck Barkley isnt saint of my devotion
but he said something absolutely true yesterday
Its imposible to thing KG will help Cs this year
even if hes back
He has not played a game in almost 3 month
hes not going to enter a game and help against
NBA playoff quality players
Its sad but i realize that and starting to get use
to the idea.

LETS GO SMALL 3
Take us to championship.

I kinda feel like he would completely lose his mind not playing in the ECFs against CLE. So, I'm with you.

I don't know about the first two rounds, but should we advance past this round and the next, at the very least, i think he will give it a go.

who knows how the knee would respond....still hoping, though.

I would have to totally disagree with Barkley's statement about KG not helping the C's this year if he comes back.  If perk or baby get in foul trouble, wouldnt it be nice to have KG come in and play 15 to 20 minutes rather than mikki moore?

Not to mention, he played 15 minutes with his knee all messed up a month ago and was pretty darn effective.

KG's coming back I think. Doc's comments lead me to believe he will. I think Doc just needed to say that he wouldn't play in the playoffs to prepare his players mentally in case KG couldn't come back.

I think he can help if

1) his body will allow him to at least not digress steadily
2) he's mentally capable of accepting the lower limits of what his body can handle

I mentioned it somewhere in this thread, but I'll state the idea again...If he can take Mikki Moore's minutes while keeping points 1 & 2 in check, he can help this team.

If there's something to build off that, then that would be wonderful.  Right now, I think that would be a tremendous boost to the bench.

I'm still expecting zero though, so anything's a bonus.
Yup

I heard that statement too and shook my head.  I know he went to Auburn and is therefore mentally challenged, but come on.   ;)
