Starbury taking Posey's role as the guy who fouls after the whistle.

Haha. And the Posey replacement by committee strategy continues.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

During this time out, I'll take the time to note that I learned tonight that Eddie kinda looks like Rasheed Wallace.

Its so easy to undervalue how automatic Ray Ray has been at the free throw line in the final seconds. Good to have him on our side.

Some of you aren't going to want to hear this, but Marbury's energy forced some of the same people dogging it in the first half to nut up and play on both ends of the floor in the second half. If we win, he gets a bunch of the credit - the idiot Marv Albert notwithstanding.

Along with Pierce, of course. Hopefully some of the people who were mailing it in - Rondo, are you listening? - will take note of the Captain's professionalism.

pierce didn't play that many minutes...so i'm fine with him playing him at the end. plus, there's something to be said about staying sharp. pierce even said he thought the extensive rest at the end last year may have cost them some early in the playoffs. get pierce and ray 25-30 minutes tomorrow, unless they need the rest.

TP for an excellent note.  One thing that Stephon hasn't lacked since he came here is effort.

[dang it], couldn't Glenn have the stones to win or lose with our bench and pull a major psych job on Philly rather than putting Pierce back in?

(Nope.)

It's unclear how much of a "psych job" could have been pulled with Philly.
I think he wanted to put PP and KP back in to experiment with lineups (just my feeling - I wasn't able to watch the game on tv so dont know if there was more to it than that).

good win...esp the second half and second unit...no KG..no ray...powe coming back...baby sick philly had all their guns and boston has nothing really to play for...that really sends a message to the sixers in my mind

61 wins as defending champs, with KG out for 24 games, with TA, Scals, Powe and BBD missing time. That's pretty sweet.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Steph so far.  I may even grow fond of him.

Rajon's having a bad stretch, whether it be frustration from the Cavs game or what.  He'll get over it and so will we.

I am a little worried about Eddie's shot though.  Hope it's just a slump and not that the stomach bug has gotten to him too or something.

Once again, first half made me groan but second half was fun and we pulled it out at the end.

Blowout wins are easier on my nervous system, but yeah, tonight was a lot of fun with a lot of good company!
