This whole line of discussion comes from one place only. With Scal and TA injured and not playing, and POB traded away to another squad, we have no one else to badmouth. Very few on here have the guts to call out the starters and what they are doing wrong, rather make excuses for them. Instead they look for the second and third stringers to rip on. Obviously these guys have major flaws or they'd be starting somewhere. They however are not however the difference in us winning and losing most of the time and certainly won't get many minutes when it matters in the playoffs. The guy played 11 minutes last night matched up against Dwight Howard who is an athletic freak. Please people...
i have no problem criticizing the starters.
but i think when the separation between teams is so fine, role players become even more important.
the balance of power is teetering at this point.
is it fair to put so much pressure on guys? no. but honestly, that is why they came here. they want their turn at the plate.
criticizing Mikki or Steph or any other bench guy isn't taking other players off the hook. it is merely assessing their play in an important role.
i remember last playoffs and you were killing Sam....how is that different than breaking down Mikki's game?
Anyway, Mikki can do some things out there. Personally, I would prefer my backup center bring toughness to the table, but that's not his game. So I think he needs to start doing other things that he can do.
I'm not folding. and I couldn't be rooting harder for the guy....I think it is just the nature of the boiler pot that he has jumped into.
