Seriously...  I've never seen a guy foul like Moore does.  Not only does he commit a lot of fouls, but he commits a lot of stupid fouls, at terrible times.  I can't remember a guy 7 feet tall that was this poor on the defensive end.  Give me Kandi or Blount any day.

(And yes, there's a slight amount of hyperbole here.  There's a lot to be frustrated about, though, and Moore's stupid foul turned out to be the difference in tonight's game.)

It was a two point game, what about Baby's Hakeem impersonation? Or the lack of Ray Allen in the last two minutes ( personally I think paul would be more clutch if they ran more plays for Ray down the stretch)? Or Rondo's weird off balance lay up in the first 3 minutes? These were all difference makers.  ;)

Eh...  In a two point game, when you gift the other team three free throws out of sheer stupidity, it's fair to call it a difference maker.

Roy man, why you so sensitive?  ;D

Cut his ***. He is a liability. We are 8-7 since he joined the C's. He is starting to rub off on other players.

Eh, Moore's lousy defensive mistakes aren't going to "rub off" on his teammates. And he's in most other ways a model back up.

In other news Zach Randolph, who may actually be the league's worst defensive big, went for 33 tonight...

Birdman would have been nice.  I suspect that he wanted to just go back to Denver though.

he flat out said if the offered him a contract he would sign ASAP. ainge opted not to.

and even if you dont like him, there were alot more proven bigs around than POB.

danny screwed the pooch with regards to back up bigs this summer, and thats all there is too it.

ainge put this team behind the 8 ball in the offseason by letting posey go....pay him his [dang] extra year...he is a winner...then nixing birdman...signing POB and allen....issues were never addressed that needed to be. i like the house signing but he mismanaged the offseason

In what other ways is he a model backup?  He's got a decent jump shot.  He's a mediocre-to-poor rebounder, he's nothing special as a passer, and he has no post game to speak of.

The only player on the team scoring fewer points per minute is Starbury.  That, coupled with his terrible defense, makes him far from an ideal backup to me.

Don't forget the horrible hands.

We aren't going to get very far in the play-offs if he's one of the players we're counting on.

Sorry Mikki you try hard, but your just not very good.

What did he do wrong with that foul? Not trying to fan the flames here I didn't watch the game. It sad really that I checked the boxscore and was impressed he only had 4 fouls.

Bailed out Orlando of a huge scoring drought fouling an off-balance Lewis 3 pt shot due to closing out completely out of control. Somehow killed the momentum we were gaining.

All I can say is.... please hurry back, Powe!

As opposed to D.J. Mbenga? Fabricio Oberto? Darnell Jackson? He's fifth in the rotation.

And while, yes, it was a terrible foul, and somewhat gut-wrenching. T.A. has done the same... more than once.

All I can say is.... please hurry back, Powe!

Still, Amen to this.

Ouch. Tough to blame the newness of learning the Celtics defense on that one.
Crownsy you probably didn't mean it to be funny but I had to laugh (hysterically I think) at that comment. I might have to be taken away in a straitjacket if I see TA and Moore on the court at the same time in the playoffs. I'm already twitching uncontrollably as it is when either of them is out there.

Well, look at it this way. Once Powe is back and Leon and KG and Perk and Baby are at full strength, about the only time we are going to see MKoore during the post season is to come into the game and foul someone. And we all know he's getting plenty of practice at that!

Remember, I believe he was brought in here for one reason and one reason only, that being to have a large body to stick in there while KG recuperated overplay and wear out Powe, Baby and Perk and Pierce. And it's been a good strategy. KG is able to come back at a slow pace, Perk's minutes only increased to about 33 minutes per when he might have had to have played 40 otherwise, Moore has been there, luckily, during unexpected injuries to Powe and BVaby and lastly, Pierce's minutes are down almost 4 minutes per game this month as compared to last month.

He's a bad player, but, he's better than what we had and has had a bright moment or four. He won't be seeing time during the playoffs and has kept other players minutes down. All in all, a successful pickup. There's no way with KG out the amount of time the Celtics knew he was going to be out that the Celtics would have had any better of a record without Moore and even if we somehow got Joe Smith(pure pipedream there), there's still no way we would have gone 13-2 since KG went down. Incidentally, even with a 13-2 record over the last 15 games, we would still be a game out in the loss column.
