There's something I don't quite understand. If no one is surprised by what Moore is offering, where are all the people who disagreed with me when we signed him?!

Where's the guy who accused me of having a personal dislike for Moore and that I'd be forced to backpedal? Where's the guy who said that Moore was a better player than Powe and Davis?

The same place all the people who criticized Ainge for signing Moore instead of waiting for Joe Smith, who clearly wanted to come here and not back to Cleveland are.

well, i was a "wait" guy and you have changed the argument for waiting quit a bit.

The first round of criticism against waiting was that Smith may never get bought out.

The second round of criticism was that he would never sign with the Cs.

The third round was that Smith "most likely" would sign with the Cavs...

Add in the release of Gooden and I'm not sure why you are calling out this particular block of fans....

Anyway, Mikki's here now. He is a total adventure when he is on the court. Let's hope that it is an adventure that's ultimately an enjoyable trip...

Aside from the fact that your summation might be a bit revisionist, I was just pointing out that people on both side of that argument were wrong.

or more importantly, maybe both were right....

Look, we still don't know the ultimate impact of Moore. He could still have just enough impact to get us over the hump in the playoffs.

That's what I'm hoping for, anyway. And it certainly would validate the move to sign him so quickly.

On the other side, we'll never know for sure. There are arguments to be made both ways as far as Smith is concerned. But again, he wasn't the only one that could have been targeted. What about Stromile too.....?

Overall, I don't think what said was revisionist. I can't speak for everybody, but it seemed to me that people who wanted to wait acknowledged that it was a roll of the dice (not a certainty that we would get Smith) but that it was worth the gamble...

Anyway, at this point, I couldn't be rooting harder for Mikki....he scares the crap out of me, but he has done some nice things and i like his attitude.

I wish he would stop fouling so much, though....

He's already paid dividends as a body to throw out there to cover for all the injuries.  But I hope everyone is healthy enough and playing well enough(undersized or not) that this guy doesn't have to get playoff minutes at all.

I look at it this way: The ridiculous waste of space that was Paddy O'Blount is finally gone, as are the incessant "Free POB" threads.

Hopefully, Danny will display a little more pride in the uniform when he goes dumpster diving for another backup 5 this summer.

Honestly, I really don't know who is worse, POB or Mikki Moore.

Pretty easy way to differentiate.

Paddy stunk, with no effort. Moore stinks, but he stinks at full speed.

Another interesting element of the coming summer will be to see if each and every Danny move is greeted as genius, after rolling out Paddy and Moore this year.

I agree with this but at least POB would get some block and rebound numbers while he was stinking it up.  POB was a good shot blocker.

Don't worry, I'm sure that there will be at least one person at the end of the bench that you can use to criticize Ainge for  during the entire 2009-2010 season, or one vet that we don't overpay for this offseason.
