There's something I don't quite understand. If no one is surprised by what Moore is offering, where are all the people who disagreed with me when we signed him?!

Where's the guy who accused me of having a personal dislike for Moore and that I'd be forced to backpedal? Where's the guy who said that Moore was a better player than Powe and Davis?

As for Steph, just as a reminder: There were posters on this Blog hailing his signing as that of an All-Star.

Clearly, he's not an All-Star.

True.

eh, people aren't going to come out and say they were 100% wrong, this is celtics blog.

I think they both have been alright in what they are doing, KG being back (and hopefully leon....that injury still sketches me out.) should put mikki back where he belongs, 3rd big off the bench.

Steph has been alright, i apperciate his passing, but he needs to be less timid. teams are starting to play him to pass 100% of the time, since they know he lacks confidance in himself to shoot. Hopefully that made three will boost him a bit.

I will say im suprised by his effort on defense. much like mikki, im not sure steph's effort is translating into results per say, he's clearly a poor defender, but its alot more effort than i thought he would give. I'm still amazed he took that charge on duncan, i didn't think he had that in him.

I've been on record since day one with my simple assessment of Mikki:  HE'S A BUM

But he's our bum now, so I hope he kicks some bum out on the court.
Yup

The same place all the people who criticized Ainge for signing Moore instead of waiting for Joe Smith, who clearly wanted to come here and not back to Cleveland are.

This morning a Yahoo reporter  discussion about Mikki Moore's addition to the Celtics  with Dale n Holley was this, qoute,"Mikki Moore has been considered the most "atrocious"player in the NBA long before he came to Boston by myself  and my colleagues".

that guy is out of his mind. mikki is bad, but i can think of a ton of guys with less talent/ less basektball IQ id like to run out there.

has this guy not seen mark blount? How about marcus banks, hows he doing? gerald green? POB?

and those are just ex celtics failures off the top of my head before lunch, im sure soemone who had some time could come up with a much better list.

this doesnt change how bad mikki is, but most atrocious player in the league? nope.

Blount is a jerk but he's a much better player than Moore.  Im with Redz and Cordobes on this topic.

Mikki Moore as a Celtic:
14 Games  17.6 Minutes  3.9 Points (.535%) 3.9 Rebounds  .21 Blocks

The Legend that is PJ Brown as a Celtic(Regular Season):
18 Games 11.6 Minutes   2.2 Points(34%)   3.8 Rebounds   .4 Blocks

PJ in the playoffs:
25 Games  13.6 Minutes   2.9 points(46%)   2.4 rebounds   .4 Blocks

Point is -- Mikki is providing basically what PJ provided.  Hopefully Mikki will pick up the defensive rotations better as the playoffs near.

And perhaps he'll hit a big shot in a big game and cement his own legendary stint with the C's.

oh so am I, i just think there's a ton of players stealing money in the NBA along with mikki i would put up for "most atrocious player" before him.

I smell a new poll on the main page.

Yeh, you can't fault Mikki for lack of effort.  I like the guy, I just don't think he's much of a player.  Effort alone, sadly, would likely put him in the top 10% of the league.
Yup

OK, yeah he sucks but he's definitely not "stealing" money because the effort is there.  I'd say someone like Baron Davis is stealing money because the talent is there but the motivation is not.

well, i was a "wait" guy and you have changed the argument for waiting quit a bit.

The first round of criticism against waiting was that Smith may never get bought out.

The second round of criticism was that he would never sign with the Cs.

The third round was that Smith "most likely" would sign with the Cavs...

Add in the release of Gooden and I'm not sure why you are calling out this particular block of fans....

Anyway, Mikki's here now. He is a total adventure when he is on the court. Let's hope that it is an adventure that's ultimately an enjoyable trip...

Aside from the fact that your summation might be a bit revisionist, I was just pointing out that people on both side of that argument were wrong.
