As far as I know LA and Cleveland didn't make any moves. I think that is a big time blunder letting Wally's huge contract just expire, that was a BIG tading chip

If Boston gets their hands on Joe Smith and Marbury, say goodnight Cleveland !

It's past 3 - how is it too soon?  I know buyouts can happen, but is there a way for them to still make a trade?

Sometimes the information comes out late. The deal might already have been concluded, but not made public.

Yes.. remember the Manny trade when the Sox got Jason Bay... that was well after the deadline... of course that's baseball, but basketball can be basically the same.

LA didnt need to make moves
Cleveland should've, but are already good enough to win a championship right now

Absolutely

And if Cleveland didn't make a trade it's an idiotic non-move on Danny Ferry's part.

Im pretty sure if teams are still discussing and working out a trade they can request more time from the league

If the Celtics get Marbury and Joe Smith (which is looking more and more lit it will happen) Cleveland is not winning a championship. Same for LA

Why is it looking more likely? Ive heard nothing about either being bought out, Marbury is a cancer, and Joe smith is, well Joe smith

Giant, giant, giant mistake by Danny Ferry not to trade Wally Szczerbiak and get someone that could help. Either he way over valued Wally as a player or miscalculated exactly what Wally plus his expiring contract was worth or both. Truly a huge mistake that might just end up costing the LeBron's the championship if the Celtics end up landing Joe Smith. Smith and Solomon will be great additions to a team that is playing as well as the team that won it all last year.

Randy Moss was a cancer, Corey Dillon was a Cancer , Dennis Rodman was a cancer

When these guys have shots at winning a title they aren't cancers. Their talent shines through. Marbury can come here help the celtics win a championship and earn himself another decent sized contract. Joe Smith is basically a younger PJ Brwon

Don't be such a downer man, think positive!!

More likely in the sense that neither was traded.  Now both OKC and NY would be motivated to cut each player to save money (since they will get nothing in return).
