I'm not gonna say I'm happy that Bynum hurt himself-- its really too bad-- but this will help us ultimately, so I can't say I'm upset. Hopefully Bynum is out long enough that it costs the Lakers some wins, but I hope for his sake he's not out for the season or anything like that. If he was out just long enough for us to gain a significant lead over the Lakers in the race for the best recond, that would be great. Yes, we could finish with a better regular season record without Bynum being out, but an extended absence for him would mean we could get some "insurance" wins and improve our odds for getting home court throughout the playoffs.
eh, Im not worried about the lakers, its all about celtics/cavs...lakers homecourt advantage really isnt much to be worried about
I'm more worried about the Cavs too, but if we beat them in the ECF and go on to face the Lakers, I'd rather have home court. Wouldn't you?
Sure, but I dont think its a must...I think our guys can win in LA, and like playing in LA, sure they lost the christmas game but all they'd have to do is split the first 2 games in the finals, which id have confidence in, then come to boston for 3...I have little to no confidence in winning in cleveland
No, its not a must, but obviously having home court is better than not having it. So I'm happy about this injury if it is moderately serious, because that will improve our odds of locking up home court for the finals.
We can win in Cleveland. We just haven't played our best basketball in their arena. We went out to LA and played a heroic game 4 in the finals; I'm have a feeling we'll be able to summon that in the playoffs for Cleveland. We've misfired there so many times now, is bound to happen sometimes. After all, we are the Celtics.
