i honestly feel like those of us who are obsessed nba fans would have been more surpsised if he made it through the season without significant injury. we ned to be ready for the cavs, really really ready. And now id guess the spurs will be waiting. celtics spurs for the title will be some of the best bb ever played.lets get there

I honestly can say I don't mind Bynum as a player or as a person from what I've seen.  The annoying people are the fans who use his injuries as an excuse.  Unfortunately for us we might be hearing this again.  I hope he's healthy for the Finals and we get back to play as a rematch from last year.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Who knows, they might be better without him...they did get to the finals last year, and not much is changed in the West. I feel sorry for ANYONE that gets injured, and it's the worst part of sports.
At least they have an excuse now.

This is just an excuse for thursday.

Now they have the "yeah, but we weren't 100%" excuse stashed away.

Add that to the fact they won in LA when he was playing.

This sucks.

Oh great, I can just hear it now when Boston beats them on Thursday... "But we didn't have Bynum!"

Now they have another excuse when we give them another whooping if we see them in the Finals.

Quote from Bynum

Quote
"I didn't hear any pops," he said as he leaned on a long black crutch in front of his locker. "It's much better than last year. Last year, I wasn't able to put any pressure on it or walk or anything like that. I really don't need the crutch, but they just want me on it just to keep the weight off of it."

They did the field tests and probably knew right away that the ligaments had popped on Brady.

Bynum's might just be a sprain. It wasn't the same knee as his last injury, that is worth noting. Until the swelling goes down and they can do an MRI we won't know. The worrisome thing for Laker fans is that he already had a lot of trouble recovering from a similar injury. Remember when they expected him back well before the playoffs last year?

Exactly, they said the same exact thing last year when he went down, that it was just a sprain and the MRI was scheduled for a few days after, then hyping his return the rest of the season, which continued to get delayed until the point he never came back

True.

I'm actually thinking he'll be alright this time though. Probably just because the injury reminded me a lot of Pierce's from the finals.
