Maybe if Lebron had gone to college his so called "crab dribble" would have gotten corrected. He doesn't think he is in the wrong ever because he was never taught the basics,1,2steps and shoot not,1,2,3.

Apparently they don't teach the basics in Kansas either since Pierce gets to take 3 steps all the time as well.  Just saying

First of all, I was definitely thinking of a different play on the Sasha foul.  Sasha had a legit foul there.  Nothing 'touch' about it.

Seriosuly? waaaah...he could never get a foul call again and it still wont be justifcation for all the phantom calls the messiah has garnered since the day he came into the NBA..LeBron still gets more calls than anyone in the NBA, so if the refs miss one here and there I dont have any sympathy

Give me a break Tattered.  I would love to see your reaction if Pierce was treated this way.  You would be screaiming at anyone who would listen.

Lebron still gets more call than anyone?  So 3 fouls called on him all night is more than anyone who drives to the hoop that often should get?  Makes sense to me

6 FTs doesn't = fouled 3 times.  He had a few fouls called on drives outside the penalty.  And you're kind of coming from an angle that there's some minimum quota of FTs LeBron "deserves" based on his game.  6 FTs is below his average, but is not a small amount in a game, even for a guy with the ball in his hands as often as LeBron.  And I don't know how many extra free throws you think he was entitled to, but it would've taken quite a few to overcome a 20+ pt 4th quarter deficit.  Cleveland got outplayed the last 30 minutes of the game, plain and simple.

Not to nit pick, but the traveling that Pierce usually gets away with is the shufling of his feet when he gets a guy in the air off an upfake.  That's something that gets missed by refs all the time, because they're usually concentrating on contact.  There's a big difference between that, and getting to the rim from the 3 point line without dribbling.

I'll admit that Pierce gets the most benefit from the refs out of every member of the Celtics.  But when it comes to LeBron James, there's no comparison on our team.

I'm willing to guarantee that LeBron has never in his career received the treatment Pierce did from the refs on Wednesday against the Kings.  He received 3 fouls in the first quarter which ranged from questionable to ridiculous, along with a technical after the 3rd and worst call.  He was essentially taken out of the game from the start.

Look, I am always the first one to say that the refs don't determine a game but Lebron was getting hammered last night with no calls.  He went to the foul line 6 times all night.  Lebron is constantly bodied, slapped, pulled with no call just due to the fact that he is 270 pounds and can brush it off.  I would like to see Lebron chill out with his complaining and let Mike Brown handle it.

As to to whoever stated that Hedo 'bumped' Lebron on the play Mike Brown got a technical for needs to watch the replay again.  Hedo grabbed him and yanked him around with no foul call.  Then, on the other end of the floor, a touch foul is called against Courtney Lee.  Brown had every right to lose it.

I was mostly with you until your last 2 sentences - Lee got bodychecked into the stanchion, and there was legitimate debate about whether it would be a flagrant (it shouldn't've been, and it wasn't, but it was a hard foul).  To see that as a "touch foul" is seeing it through some serious wine-and-gold glasses.  Like I said, the refs called it like a playoff game, and allowed a LOT of contact both ways.  Howard got hacked with no whistle several times too.  The refs were pretty consistent in letting both teams play, and Cleveland didn't adjust.

And the other part of the reason why LeBron didn't go to the line much is that he looked legitimately tentative in the 2nd half.  For the first time in his career that I've seen, he's starting to look tired - it happened in the Chicago and Lakers losses too.
maybe LBJ was tired because he was getting beaten up all game.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

WOH is me...you give me a break...you think Pierce doesnt get treated similiarly but gets even less calls? you're losing it now...anyone can see with there own 2 eyes lebron is the leagues baby, who they cradle at every chance...you actually complain about him not gettying every single call every single night..its a joke

i was actually going to post a similar topic as this, but hadn't had a chance to yet today. i seriously want to puke when i hear lebron or mike brown whine about calls. i've never seen a team get so many calls as the cavs. jordan and the bulls didnt get this many calls, and they won 6 titles! and the "jordan rules" didnt really come into effect until MJ had actually won titles. again, something lebron has not done.

and what's sad about this is that i guarantee david stern will discipline that officiating crew behind the scenes. thus, we will now see the nba become even more of a mockery in its pathetic, relentless attempt to create a lebron vs. kobe NBA finals.

let's take a short trip down memory lane. first example: game 3 of the first round at washington in 2006. down by 1, lebron makes an up-and-under move to win the game in the final seconds. too bad he literally took FOUR STEPS, as anyone basketball fan watching live could see. yet he never acknowledged this, and even had the audacity (aka idiocy) to say it was the same move kevin mchale always did. and the cavs ended up advancing largely because of this horrible non-call.

second example: regular season game at the garden in 2006, the one where pierce scored 50, but the C's lost in OT. the defining moment of the game, which would later cause stuart scott to literally ejaculate on the set of sportscenter, came when lebron dunked over delonte west late in the game. however, the play started with pierce dribbling the ball against lebron at the top of the key. lebron lost his balance, grabbed pierce's jersey, and threw him to the ground. no wonder pierce lost the ball, which lebron later got for the dunk. how that call is missed is beyond my comprehension.

3rd example: the crab dribble episode. really? he took at least 5 steps in the sequence, and honestly thought it was legal. speechless.

look back to the playoff series vs. the cavs last year. that series was an absolute joke in terms of officiating. fortunately, the celtics (despite ray's bad shooting) were so much better than the cavs that they still won, albeit barely.

how about pierce in game 6 in the '08 ECF against detroit? he makes a great pump-fake, gets the defender in the air, then drills a 3 pointer as he's fouled, apparently earning a 4 point play. but no, the ref calls an OFFENSIVE FOUL!!! i don't think you'll ever see a call any worse than that. no other ref at any level in basketball would have made that call. boston was still down 10 at that point in the 4th quarter, and that would have been a huge momentum boost to cut the lead to 6.

and now...the difference between lebron and pierce...and between the cavs and the celtics...pierce and the celtics were p---ed/stunned at that horrible call, for sure. however, they got back on defense, kept plugging away, came back and WON THE GAME. you may remember that #17 was soon hung in the rafters.

Does anyone have a worse TP/Post ratio than Moranis?

You stay classy, LeBron.
God bless and good night!

Lebron and Paul Pierce each get 9 free throw attempts a game.  Anyone who states that Lebron gets all the calls but fails to admit that Pierce gets the same tratement is kidding themselves.

At no point in any of this did I say that the reson the Cavs lost last night was because of the officiating.  I simplys stated that Mike Brown had every right to go berserk at the refs when he did.

The Cavs lost last night because they settled or jumpers the entire second half and because they were missing Z and Delonte.  Z would have pulled Howard out of the lane which would have greatly helped Lebron getting to the hole.

So, basically, what I am getting from this post is that the officials are on a mission to get Lebron to the finals, but the Celtics were so good last year that they overcame it?  Genius

clearly. not sure why that's so tough for you to understand or admit. what sucks for you guys, though, is we're still better than you, and we'll still beat you in the playoffs again (assuming you earn the right to play us), despite the refs.

pierce never has and never will get the kinds of calls lebron does.  whenever he (pierce) gets fouled and puts up a shot like a continuation (so he might take 1 dribble or step after the foul), he never gets it, the refs always call it on the floor.  that offensive foul vs rip in the ecf's was bs, thats why hes THE TRUTH, cuz he just laughed it off while i screamed at the tv.

its a physical game and guys are always moving, so theres gonna be some contact; no need to embellish it.

has there been any progress in the officiating of floppers (eg, varejao, ginobili, turkoglu) this year after it was said that they would crack down on it?

This is humorous.  I love the we are better than you argument without any facts to back it up.  You wonder why Boston fans have such a terrible reputation.....look no further.  I quiver at the thought of playing the Celtics after their domination of the Cavs in Cleveland when Cleveland was missing Z.  Oh wait, how did that game turn out again?

The TRUTH is that you won LAST year.  That's all you have right now.  See yah in the playoffs

The season series is tied at 1 apiece, and you beat us soundly in the midst of a slump where we couldnt beat the knicks, warriors or bobcats,Thanks for the wake-up call the celtics needed..appreciate it.. what did going 5-0 on your homecourt against us last year do?
You say celtics fans get a bad reputation, but here you are whining about lebron not getting enough calls and sarcastically saying youre scared of the celtics..cocky much? pick a lane
