Just Curious what people think about this kid. From what I have seen he is a competitor, Athletic, Strong, Can get to the basket, and has a decent jump shot. At this point I think hes a better fit than Giddens. Hes a much better shooter and has better size to cover both SG and SF. Walker has much more upside than Tony Allen ever had, and in a year or so I think he will be an overall better player. If and when the C's make roster moves this season I really hope that Bill Walker will is not included.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

im pretty sure giddens is considered the superior shooter, but regardless, i think it depends. I'd love to keep him, but he wouldn't exactly be the sticking point if a team offered us a good vet for the bench and he was part of the trade ya know?

But i do like him alot.

lets not sell giddens out until we actually get to see him play/progress.

remember walker also had 3 past knee injuries and there will always be a concern about it.

I like what i've seen of him and i hope like powe he can stay healthy with his knees

Absolutely keep him along. No question about it... This guy has a definite spot on any team if he plays like he can and continues to grow at a reasonable rate. Don't judge him against Giddens when we frankly just haven't seen enough of either. Too early to make an either____ or____ decision... However, Bill definitely helped his case tonight.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

I'd like to see Walker get some more playing time. In the little game time Walker has gotten, I see a kid who wants it badly. Walker has similar athleticism to Gerald Green, but Walker actually understands how to play the game.

I loved watching him play tonight. That said, if he needed to be included in a trade to get a player of need (ie: a more seasoned vet at the 3, or a taller vet 5), then I would make the trade.  The Cs are Finals contenders, and getting #18 trumps watching a nice kid develop.

as of now i think it is safe to count out JR, it's like he's intimidated by the NBA superstars where Billy wants to go right at them.

TA- 4 year veteran, excellent defender, good at driving to the hole, poor judgement, poor shooter

Walker- lack of experience, shows good potential on D, good at driving to the hole, decent shooter out of the draft, has improved range in the d-league.

edit: walker also is a very good rebounder, thats kindof part of playing the forward position.

Ya, all you can really compare is what they have done in the D-league and what little they played in the preseason.

i'm so torn on this....I think DA actually once again picked a couple of very interesting prospects and i'm not psyched about losing them....

but i'm also not sure that either is going to be in a position this year to fill a clear need at the backup SF spot for our playoff run.....

they definitely are our two biggest chips at this point and Walker looked smoother to me than he did in preseason, so he's definitely improving (a good sign)..

i don't know....i'm torn....

I think Tony's defense is really over rated. He doesn't play smart defense he plays purely off instincts, and is prone to fouling jumpshooters. While he has stetches where he's a great defender he's far from consisten with his defense. Like Doc has said Tony has been playing average defense.

...as for Giddens I think your just rephrasing what Doc said in the newspapers. He hasn't played enough for us to write him off. He didn't look bad in pre-season he just didn't get minutes, or have the highlight plays. You are right though, he won't get minutes over TA.
