im just saying if scal is done for the year with all these concussions..then we should get toine..all scal does is shoot threes antoine can do that...

The difference is that Scalabrine makes a few.
Antoine makes more than a few. Also his threes usually were not wide open ones, which is the only type of 3 that Scal takes.
You're talking about Antoine using the present tense, as if he could still play. I love the guy (look at my member name), but until he proves me wrong, I'm considering Antoine's NBA career done. Antoine in his current state is useless to the Celtics.

Eddie House - for THREEEEEEE!

I heard he was looking for an assistant coaching position under Jim O'Brien.

I think Toine can offer more to this team as it is currently constituted than a waste of space (Mikki Moore).

If we wanted length or "just another body" we should have just kept PoB.

I know this isn't surprising but, even Moore brings more to the table than Toine.   And open roster space would provide more.

Help us Antoine.  What do the Utah Flash have that we don't?  Why have you forsaken us?

you bring back Antoine when you need to razzledazzle a disgruntled fanbase ... distracting them from the fact they aren't legitimate contenders.

Yup...  seems about right.

Though this is a turrible, turrible idea, at least Toine would box out underneath, play with heart, and take nothing for granted.

This isn't a joke, lets bring back antoine who is a true celtic and loves playing for the c's and understands the aura and prestige of playing for this team. antoine put his heart and soul into the game every night on the floor regardless of results. even when the c's were winning 35 games a year, he tried hard every game and never sat out, playing thru numerous injuries.  many people on these boards have said that they wouldnt be willing to bring back antoine at his current salary but if the c's could pay him the vet min, they would be willing to bring him back as locker room presence and 10-12th man off the bench.  well now that time has come and the c's could sign him for the minimum and antoine wouldnt be out on the court chucking up bad shots because the big 3 wouldnt stand for it, so antoine would cooperate and play like 15 minutes a game and be a composed backup veteran forward which the c's could use and win a championship with boston which he always wanted to accomplish.  idk who would be opposed to this as there are 3 players on the roster(POB-giddens-glen davis/scal) who all perform worse than antoine would, plus you throw in the celtic pride factor that walker brings, i think he is an ideal man at the end of the bench and im sure pierce would be thrilled having his best buddy back especially since the teams ultimate success is not vital to antoine playing at his best. what does everyone think? i think this is do-able and should be done. GO CELTICS!

The words please kill me come to mind everytime I see a rebuild, trade for Big Al, or bring back Antoine Walker thread
