Table Tennis is ridiculous.

I don't think I could garner even a point on these guys.

Yeah, there's just no way.  It's insane.

By the way, isn't the men's volleyball final supposed to be tonight?  What's the deal with that?  I haven't heard any updates.

Nice.  Apparently we just won in four sets.  I'm glad for their coach, even though even a gold medal has to feel somewhat trivial right now.

When my father was in china, he saw cement table tennis tables in the park being played by guys with raw wood paddles.  (no padding on the paddle)

Big sport over there.

I do think the next time the Olympics comes to the US, they should add the beer pong game.

Have no fear Ederson is here :D

The final has just finished. USA won 3-1 and judging by the whole tournament i`d say the deserve the gold. Very good game , Brazil suicide at the 4th set. USA was 2-1 in sets but Brazil had the lead at the forth 20-17 but lost it 25-23. I`m more of a "Brazilian" but i`m happy for Lloy Ball. One of the best setters of all time. This season has been sensational for him. Won the Olympics, the World League and the European Champions League.

It`s funny how life makes it. Four years ago he wanted to retire from indoor volleyball after the Athens Games. He had a kid and wanted to go back home and he didn`t have good offers anyway. What later turned it a turning point for his carrier was an offer form a greek club Iraklis. They had already signed Clayton and Hoff and aimed for the Champions League (Ball`s nemesis as he said in an interview). He postponed his retirement for a year. He lead his team to a 55-2 record , won the local championship and cup but lost the champions league final. Iraklis offered another one year contract and Ball stayed one more season in Europe. Again he reached the final but again with no luck. And the end of his second Greek season Ball got an unbelievable offer from a Russian very rich but mediocre club. Clayton went with him and there they teamed up with a few Russian internationals and this April finally he managed to win the Champions League.

Of course i don`t know half as much as Bernardihno and other Brazilian coaches know but Nascimendo is overrated or what?

Good.  So there's still a chance I can be in the Olympics.

I don't know.

I believe that the championship game will use Goldschlager.

What gold medal game would be complete without a new shoe?

I've said it once and I'll say it again.  The world has closed the gap when you see guys like Carmelo, Bosh and Kobe celebrating like they are doing a game.  The game was won by USA, but nobody can say that the world can't compete against our best.

The more the effort the bigger the celebrations. This has got to be the most hardworking victory for USA basketball since 96.
