"ROCKETS -- who takes the last shot or the big shots in close games?  Shaq's on the bench or he'll get fouled.  Bogut's as bad a FT shooter as Shaq.  Odom's a great front-runner and a very talented player, but he's at best a good #2 or great #3 guy.  I guess Kevin Martin ... but has he showed that ability yet?  Personally?  I'd lock down Martin and Parker and dare Wallace and Odom to make the shot."

Forget a game down the stretch how about an entire series. In the 2007 NBA finals Parker proved he can be that guy.

Parker is a very good PG. But asking him to win the series for you is a bit much... he may have been the MVP, but Duncan was far and away the best player.

Yeah I don't buy it.

The same logic could be applied to D-wade with Shaq in 2006 and PP with KG. Parker competed at the highest level possible, shined and above all showed a greatness he deserves recognition for.

He can win you a title but like all great players he needs to be surrounded by at least another, History proves this.

Well that's my point.  Tony Parker playing with Tim Duncan can win you a title.... Tony Parker playing with Lamar Odom and Gerald Wallace -- even with Kevin Martin -- won't IMO.

Like i've said i haven't looked at teh full list of rosters (are tehy in Donoghus' post?), but the Rockets have a very good team... but i'm not willing to pencil them into the Finals yet.

History porves you need a great dynamic duo? You mean like Dwight and Steve Nash.

That wasn't your point, You said "who would take over a game on the Rockets?" When the answer is quite simple...

You don't buy into Parker being able to do it without Duncan? Fine, but then apply that logic elsewhere and The Nets have a Paul Pierce who hasn't done it without KG, and the Cavs have Wade who is in the lottery without Shaq.

Serious question, Has Nash even been to a conference championship yet? He's 34 and the clock is ticking.

With today's addition of Chris Duhon, a top 12 PG last season with a solid Ast:TO ratio, which pushes the instant offense of Rashad McCants to the bench, the Las Vegas Lakers are looking like a young force to be reckoned with.

C: Darko Milicic (23)
PF: Chris Bosh (24)
SF: Kevin Durant (19)
SG: OJ Mayo (20)
PG: Chris Duhon (25)
-----------------------
6th: Rashad McCants (23)

I'm interested to know what style of play you are going to run. Durant, Mayo and to some extent Bosh are fast break players. Duhon is a good defender who can hit the 3 and Darko can grab some rebounds, so are you going to run without a fast break pg? Or are you going to play a half court game with Mayo and Durant as your wings?

Im more interested on how Duhon can be considered a top 12 point guard. Quick, everyone name 12 better point guards!

CP3, Williams, Nash, Alston, Rondo, Parker, Kidd, Mo Williams, TJ Ford, Jose Calderon, Kirk Hinrich, Jameer Nelson, Beno Udrih (am I stretching it with Beno Udrih?)
