  • The good ole days.
I'm still going to put this into a 2K simulator but I just can't get around to it right now, I have so little time.

Expect a dominant Timberwolves.  2K knows LeBron.

(although I'm guessing that simulator is pretty bad at judging any kind of team defense... Roy's team would probably rake).

Houston Rockets-

Starting:
C - Shaquille O’neal.
PF - Troy Murphy
SF - Gerald Wallace
SG - Kevin Martin
PG - Tony Parker

Bench:
SF/PF - Lamar Odom
SF/PF - Tim Thomas
SG - Roger Mason Jr
SG - Michael Finley
PG - Luke Ridnour* (out 5 weeks)

PG - Damon Stoudamire
SF - Yakhouba Diawara
C - Robert Swift
PF -  Melvin Ely

Injured list:
C - Andrew Bogut (out for season)

====================================

My team is not winning a title, but around this time I'd say we'd be around 6 or 7 games above .500 and looking for a big with Center Bogut going down.

That's one hell of a team right there ;)

Shaq's having a great season.
Tony Parker's an all star.
K-mart is playing unbelievable.
Troy Murphy is averaging a double-double.
Lamar Odom is playing above every1's expectations.
Roger Mason Jr ditto. (You were right about this guy when we drafted him Jsaad)

Yeah, Mason was definitely a solid sleeper pick. We made a solid roster...

speaking of solid rosters, you are "killing it" in the CB fantasy league  ;)

Switch the colors of Camby and Smith and you've got yourself a deal. ;)

Ahhh, didn't even notice Smith was banged up too.  Camby missed last night and is scaring me (my roto season pretty much hinges on his fragile body holding together and blocking me some shots - though Ronny Turiaf has been doing his fair share  ;) )

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Roy... I must say, that starting lineup of yours is looking pretty shaky right now.

Gay and Amare are both being quite exposed as overrated, no D, inconsistent players with sour attitudes this year.

Go Wolves!   ;)

Well, Phoenix has been a mess; let's withhold judgment until Amare is traded to a better situation.  I mean, when Steve Nash of all players is griping to the media, you know things aren't going well.  I'd love to see him traded to Portland, because that would be the closest thing possible to seeing how this experiment plays out in real life.

I can tell you someone who hasn't been a mess: The FAKE Phoenix Suns.

Conley: Improving
Roy: one of the best 2's in the league
Butler: He's a mean mean machina.
Nene: can you say 15 and 9? Holla. CALLED IT.
Perkins: We know whats goin on here.

Ariza: Playing very well this year
Etan Thomas: Done for the year
A Daniels: Less of a factor this season
Channing Frye: No playing much
Morris Almond/Donte Greene...still comin along.

Update because its obvious that Brandon Roy is just amazing. My favorite 2 in the league.

Conley, while his stats aren't by any means premier in the league, is averaging about 11 points and 4 assists per game, with 2 turnovers 3 and half rebounds, 1 stl and one block. His second year stats are remarkably similar to those of another point close to our hearts, Rajon Rondo. Keep in mind this kid is still just 21 years old. I don't know if he'll ever be a premier point, but considering he plays with both OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay, two guys who have a higher usage rate than he does. He has crossed a threshold for me in that I believe he can run a good team, which was my major concern for my squad heading into the year. Note: Rondo's usage last season was also similar to Conely's

Brandon Roy has shown he's a franchise player and one of the most fearsome 2's in the league. Im not sure what to say to further elaborate on this, but he's just a really good all around player.

Caron Butler played on a bad team where he averages 21 points, 6 boards, 4 assists and 1.5 steals. He's the player we thought he was.

Nene showed he's got the goods, averaging 14.5 points and 8 boards. He's also shown himself to be a well above average low post defender, who along with his front court buddy Kendrick Perkins provides one of the most physical and adept defensive teams in the league.

Ariza, what more could you ask for? He's a guy that can defend 3 positions, from big 2's to smaller 4's, and gives you 9 pts, 4 boards, 1.5 steals and 2 dimes per game. Just the foundation of my bench.

The rest of my bench has a lot of potential, but didn't see the minutes, Etan Thomas was a wasted pick, and Daniels didn't play, but to be fair he plays behind the best point guard in the NBA. However, in 13 minutes he gave New Orleans about what he's given every other team he's played for at 22 mins per game, and he's shown he's still the player he's always been, which has been an average point guard.

Donte Greene and Morris Almond I think are both gonna be good players, but neither one has really shown what they can do yet.

However, my team is now I feel evident to others what I always thought it was; that is, a team that is playoff bound but probably not going to win more than one series...probably not even one.
