Former celtic and dunk champion Dee Brown used to be my neighbor here in waltham.  when we were kids we used to go to his house for halloween and he used to give out autographed basketball cards along with candy.

KROQ has been mentioned a few times...I use to be friends with their promotion director till she moved to R&R Magazine..looks like there are quite a few posters that have connections to the music industry...great story about Ken C...by the way Youk is behavin' lately, he might have the same kind of evening one these days..still looks like Rickyfan has us all beat...

Haha, fun topic.  On Halloween this year I met David Ortiz at Gordon's Liquors in Waltham, I introduced myself and he talked to me for a few minutes, he was a really nice guy.  I met 'Toine a few times during college at Dunkin Donuts in Waltham, also a really nice guy.

Also, when I was studying abroad in London I sat next to the kid who played Pacey on Dawson's Creek when I was on the subway...I was talking to him for about 10 mins without recognizing him.  That story helps me get ALL the ladies  ;D

Oh,I forgot to mention Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey--my Record Store was in the first Wayne's World movie---it was called "Hot Rocks Records" back then----you can see it clearly in the back just after the "Bohemian Rhapsody" part....the store is in Covina Ca,....you can see the green neon in the windows.

Okay, this is a stretch but I'm now resorting to my best friend's celebrity encounter. Several years ago Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez walked briefly into his store in Onset, MA. He got Ben's autograph and said hello to J-LO. He also noted that they were VERY skinny in person. When they left, my friends brother said to Affleck " Affleck, you were the bomb in Phantoms", which I guess is a line from "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". He laughed and said "Thanks buddy".

I can't believe all you people with your huge lists. I got nothing, just Buchholz. I've got to get out more.

This is some thread. I am stunned at most of the responses. You guys could be arrested for stalking. Living in New Jersey and working in
NYC for several years...I saw many celebrities but I am not star struck.
However, I have my personal favorite meeting...

In Atlanta Airport at 2:45 AM waiting for my GF flight from Minneapolis,
I run into Peter Buck and Mike Mills from REM. Nobody and I mean nobody realized who they were. I wasnt a huge fan but I knew enough to recognize them. Nice guys and gave me a heads up on what they were working on. To this day, everytime I hear Losing My Religion, I smile cuz I got to hear a very stripped down but cool version.

Thanks REM for be who you were and it was the only time I was thankful that any flight was terribly late.

I forget to mention that I met
and talked to Billy Gould who
was the bassist in Faith No More.
This was back in 2001. Billy was
on tour with Napalm Death and it
was great fun talking to him.
Too bad I was very drunk   ???

I met Mickey Mouse and Goofy at Disney World.

- On a serious note. I met P.Diddy in Boston once. Didn't talk to him or didn't know why he was in Boston but I know I met him.
