Woops... almost forgot:  Jackie "the Jokeman" Martling - I met him in the Air Tram thingy in at the Newark Airport.  It was just me and him in there, and he couldn't figure out the map on the wall of the tram car to figure out which terminal we were approaching.  He asked me to help him out, which I did, then he laughed at himself and called himself a moron.  The second he spoke, I recognized his voice, but he was wearing a ski cap so I didn't notice him it all at first.

He was flattered that I recognized him, asked me where I was heading off to, I told him N.O. and he said he loved N.O. back when he used to drink.  He was on his way to Utah for the Sandance Film Festival, and looked like this was the first time he'd ever flown; he was nervous and flustered.

He gave me his card with his email address and told me to email him and he'll send me some dirty jokes.  Never did.  As a Stern fan, it was pretty cool (though I would've preferred to have met Artie).

We should define 'met'...because that Ken Caminiti story, altough he is a B-level star, is hilarious.

I think mine takes the cake though.  I played a round with Tiger at Standford.  I was living in Southern Cal at the time and a buddy was at Stanford.  Lost some money, drank some beers after and all the while knowing he was an icon in the making.  Great day.

As far as run ins, I shook hands or took pictures with so many people at the Delahoya v Mayweather fight it was stupid.  I had a couple of $2k seats and used the 'vip' restroom/ entry area.  From J-Lo to Magic to Jack Nicholson to Leonardo DiCaprio (pictures on the wall with all)...but at one point I was hanging out with Bob Sagat  (who was there with Sharon Osborne of all people) and he introduced me to Micheal J. Fox.  That night was insane for multiple reasons, by far the best sporting event ever attended...less to do with the sport and more to do with what came with it.

You definitely get my vote for biggest celeb and best story.  People would, and have paid millions to play with the guy.  Getting to play with the best in the history of the sport is something special.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Most recent....my wife and I were in Myrtle Beach and stayed in the same Marriott resort hotel that Snoop and his enormous entourage spent one night after playing the late show at House of Blues.  Snoop didn't disappoint the crowd in the lobby the next morning(my wife and I included) when he walked through the lobby in his Marriott-issued white bathrobe with black socks and sandals. He had a glazed over look but was pleasant to all as we walked with him for about 25 yards to his bus as he signed autographs and let people take photos.  We got 3-4 nice photos.  Snoop is quite a presence.

Several years ago. I spent 2 hours sitting next to Christie Brinkley and her current ex discussing wind energy for Long Island.  She is even better looking in the flesh.

David Lynch was a class mate of mine in high school.   Enjoyed some good times together, he was very artsy back then, and I gave him his ideas for Blue Velvet and Elephant Man, just kidding about the ideas.

I went to high school with Brad Pitt. He is from Springfield Missouri. A girl from my class married his younger brother and they still reside here. Brad was a few years older then me, 2 to be exact, and so I did not know him well but knew who he was. He was the "pretty boy" type back in high school, as you might expect.

As a sidenote to the story, this was back like 13 years ago, so he wasn't a rich icon yet...although it was known he would be.  We played team skins, I got a stroke a hole.  It was intimdating for me because I was playing with collegiate golfers (and Tiger) and I was a hacker in comparison, although could hold my own.  I ended up shooting the euivalent of mid to low 80's, maybe an 83-85...and Tiger called me a sanEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ger the entire time for taking the stroke a hole.  I was playing great gold for me and getting p---ed on the whole time.  I know this is obvious, but he was very competitive...like alpha dog competitive...like it wasn't fun at points...know what i mean.  We kept calling him overrated...when his phone rang, they would ask him if it was Nike or Titleist (sp?).  All in good fun, but still an edge to the round.  Great day...

Biggest superstar I have ever met would be Shaun Alexander after his MVP season.. He was doing a church thing here in South Florida and I went up to him and he said he was saving people so he gave me a hug, and signed my jersey. I still laugh at it, because I am a die hard Rams fan.

Interesting, I also had a friend who worked at KROQ, she used to work here in Boston before moving to LA.  As for Andy & Mike, let's face it they (and us) got the short end of that deal!!!   :-[

Mine is a mix of famous people and will show how old I am.

I met President Ford, while he was in office.  I met President Carter and his brother Billy (I ran the QA department at a modular house plant Billy ran in GA).  I've also met a few NASCAR stars, such as Bill Elliot, Michael Waltrip, Kurt Bucsh, to name a few.  I also met Gary Doak at his old club in Exeter.

Not a real list of who's who, but some intriguing names.

Tony Siragusa, Daryl Johnson, Mike Myers, Al MacInnis, Steve Nash, Pip, Norm MacDonald, Mats Sundin, Dave Foley, Dave Matthews Band, Grant Fuhr, Marc Andre Fleury, Rita McNeil (used to mow her lawn), Sid The Kid, Gretzky, Mike McPhee (Habs), Georges St Pierre, Chuck Liddell, Kirk Muller, etc.

I go to comedy school across the street from Wayne Gretzky's Restaurant in Toronto, the list of athletes and celebs gets bigger every day. The one thing I've realized from meeting these cats, money doesn't equal happiness, it equals parties and female companionship. Sobering up and waking up in the morning and reaching deep into my pockets to find nothing but a soaked up coaster, 9 cents and a phone number containing 6 digits and a question mark, nope, that doesn't make me very happy, my parents were right.

My favorite, Asia Carrera. I took a diving course with her in Pearl back in my Navy days. And no, I didn't, and yes, I tried :(

My true answer to this will be myself in a year or two, propaganda coming soon, if permitted by our sweet as pie mods of course, stay tuned...
