He shoots 21% from the 3 pt. line. That's not a good stat when we need a spot up shooter.

He would be a fallback option.  Obviously nowhere near as useful as Posey, but an option nevertheless (and probably cheap).

Ugh.......pass.

I wouldn't waste a roster spot on this guy.

Poor mans James Posey.

He can defend, but probably not as well. He is a little shorter but is younger and is probably quicker at this stage in his career. He cant shoot the 3 as well as Posey but he can step in a hit the mid range J with consistency.

He put up similar numbers to Posey but I doubt he would effect the outcome of the game the way Posey does. Snyder is a $5M cheaper version of James Posey.

KIRK SNYDER? Noway! This guy has been tossed around to even out salary trades for 3 different teams in less than 2 seasons...He might be a good guy in the locker room, or even in practice, but not in an actual game. We need a shooter that can play D. Doug Christie anyone?
Can't stop, Rondo!

Dumb and inconsistent. That's the main two reasons why nobody keeps him around and why teams keep dropping him from their rotation. He won't be a help to the C's.

He's lucky if hangs on in this league for another 12 months. He's starting to run out of chances. This will be his fifth team and his sixth head coach. None of them have been enamored with the guy. He likely will get another chance somewhere.

Arew you talking about Snyder or TA?!

Guys, Snyder is NOT a backup option if Posey doesn't come. He'll most likely replace Tony Allen and fight with Giddens for the backup SG minutes.

If we can't resign Posey we should try to get Tim Pickett

I'm not sure if he's big enough to play SF though..

He's 6'6" barefoot. Posey is 6'6.5".

Synder also has a 6'9 wingspan.  Not sure what Posey's was but thats not bad.

7'0", but Snyder is a much superior athlete, and I think he is an upgrade to TA and also comes much cheaper.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
if he's so great, then why doesn't any of his prior teams lock him up in a deal?

Snyder gives us flexibility to sign a pure shooter/scorrer.

If we need a defender on the court, send out Snyder. If we need offense, trot out the shooter.

Yeah, but he (plus a #2) was traded for Gerald!  He must be good.

By that logic, how was Posey available in late August last year?
