Out of curiosity, why are several posters reacting like Danny is infallible in terms of free agency?  There are some misses on his record; prior to last season, it was hard to find many success stories in that particular aspect of Danny's GM-ing.

In no way do I mean that as a criticism of Danny, but the "Snyder must be good because Danny's checking him out" theory just doesn't hold water for me.

But it makes you wonder, how many times the person Danny was interested in didn't want to come to Boston because the team sucked, and all he managed to sign were his plan Z's.

Possibly.  I have to question, though, whether you commit a five year contract to your plan Z.

Anyway, I'm just not completely convinced that every player Danny targets in free agency is going to be good, just because Danny is the one doing the evaluating.

Lol, great comeback.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
snyder is the type of player that, quite possibly, will still be there waiting come august/september.

there is NO rush to sign him, and if someone else decides to, well, no big loss.

if we need a "fall back plan" or a "plan z" i'd rather it be tony allen...as much as i despise his game, at least he's familiar with the system, knows his teammates well, and we understand what we're getting with him.  the same cannot be said regarding snyder.
