In my opinion, the real question we have to be asking about now is will the Celtics beat the Lakers again in this series?
such a good point, because the celtics are clearly unable to beat the lakers, no sir, they don't currently have a 2-1 lead on them, and even if they don't come back, its surely impossible for them to beat the Lakers again, might as well just stop watching, or just watch the score on espn, because that's what real fans do..oh wait no, real fans pick the other team too...
Real fans pick the other teams when they feel that the other team is better. That is my honest opinion. Sorry.
as a sports fan, or a fan of the NBA or whatever, yes a real fan may pick the team they think will win...but if you're devoted, dedicated to a team, any team, to pick the other team is sacriledge and goes against the whole point of being a fan in the first place, especially when its pretty clear the teams are evenly matched - for example, if you were a Bucks fan, and they were playing the c's, it'd be ok to say, yeah I think the c's will probably win, but I sure hope the Bucks take it...in this case you're being realistic and a good fan, in the c's case, they are at worst evenly matched with the Lakers (I know now is not the best time to be making this argument), so to flat out disregard the team you supposedly like is not being a "real fan" - what's next, wearing purple and gold to the garden?
