Well that ending sums it up.  Embarrassingly bad defense, a nice little run, but 18 is quite a lot to come back from.

And it doesn't help that 2 of the big men have 2 and 3 fouls. Not good.  :-\

Kobe -- THREE points and the Celtics are down by 17.  Not a good sign at all for the second half.  I cannot bear to watch it.  Simply checking the score occasionaly on ESPN.com as I get some work done in the home office.

As for the comment about changing my colors.  Why should I do that?  I simply believed going into this series that the Lakers were going to win.

Had a perfect chance to get it to 10. We let the Lakers get more easy shots and now it's back to 18. The refs aren't even that bad. Its us.

as an aside, doc can put himself up there with some good coaches if he can pull out a great halftime speech and swing this game around...

I'm so mad I can't even type a text to someone.  It's amazing I'm even typing right now.  That 3 sealed for me in that I'm not watching the second half.  I would much rather get consistently blown out then get the deficit to around 12 points ten times and each time have it be pushed back up to 18 or 20 points.

That's even more frustrating to me than being outplayed as badly as we are.

hometown calls. this is pathetic.

NO way we complain about the officials.  C'mon we just got demolished in that first half, we didn't even give the refs a chance to become a story in the game.

You sound like the Lakers fans after Game 2.  Kobe has 3 fouls and the Lakers only took 6 more free throws.  KG and Perk had plenty of time to come back in that second quarter and make it a game.  You can't tell me that if those calls didn't get made we'd be that much closer at this point.  The conspiracy theories are out there and people are going to turn to them I understand that, but get some perspective.  The Lakers are 100 times better than the Celtics tonight, plain and simple.

see above post- 6-0 foul run in 4 minutes that sent our two best interior players to the bench.

celts play like you know what= 80% of this debacle, no question.

but get out of here with the "refs didn't get to be a storyline this time"
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I'm with you. The Celtics didn't play well enough to whine about the refs. The C's got clobbered because they played terrible basketball.

Anyone who thinks the refs did'nt cause the Lakers intial run is completely out of there mind...The gave them like 5 minutes of no calls that propelled this whole thing

Rivers should have got kicked out of this game

From David Stern today:

He said he felt bad for Boston and Los Angeles players in the finals, and especially the officials—usually prevented from speaking on their own behalf because of league rules—who have to “defend themselves against allegations by one of their fallen brethren.”

Maybe they have to defend themselves because not all fans are completely blind. Seriously, does Donaghy have anything to do with why I think the refs in the postseason have been horrible? Not even a little.

And again: I am not blaming the refs for being down 18. The Celtics played like they had money on the Lakers. Getting 15 points. But it is asinine to just ignore the blatant non-calls against the Lakers in the first half of the first quarter and think it is some homer-based reasoning.

a blocking foul?

i wish espn would show a reply of it, that looked like pose had time to go get a cup of coffee before fisher crashed into him...

were his feet in the circle?

I frame-by-framed it, Posey was long set when Fisher got there...Posey didn't lean, but also caught him more on the shoulder than directly in the chest - might've been the reason for the call.

Either way, officiating has been horrible (surprise!) but they're not the reason we are down.  Lakers are shooting lightsout and we can't put it in the ocean, and our rotations sucked except for about 4 min in the 2nd.

we need to come out in the 2nd half like we SHOULD HAVE in the first half.
