i've been talking up russia's chances since before they even beat england and i said with arshavin on form they can go very far.

i fancy them to beat spain - if pavyluchenko can finally convert some chances!

i wouldn't fire donadoni, of all the coaches at the tournament the one's who should leave are van basten (already signed with ajax), scolari (already signed with chelsea) and domenech who has made some awful decisions (dropping trezeguet for one and not starting evra against romania for two).

It would have been two great semis but i can`t see Turkey troubling Germany. Terim has only 14 players left!

And why Donadoni is not in your list?

considering they had no totti, nesta or cannavaro for the tournament and gattusso and pirlo were suspended for the spain game coupled with the fact that (despite losing 3-0) they didn't deserve to lose to holland i'd say a lot of other coaches were worse than donadoni.

plus you can't blame him that italy's best striker was firing blanks.

Domenech should be fired. He did a woeful job with that team.

I thought it was the right call to drop Trezeguet though. He hasn't been putting in quality performances in a French jersey for some time. The team needed more pace and activity up front and Trezeguet wasn't going to bring that.

Not starting Evra was idiotic.

Domenech was the worst coach by far no argue about this one!

Totti would be a great addition to this team. Agree here too.
Nesta heas retired from the NT so i can`t call it a problem.
Canavarro would be the captain of the team. Italy`s defenced missed him. But even if he wasn`t injured his presence wouldn`t help a lot in the creativity of this team. Same for Gatusso. I consider Pirlo far more important but he did play in 3 games and still Italy wasn`t that good.

What i consider big mistakes :
Not playing Del Piero against Spain.
Leaving Toni alone with the closest teammate 30mt away.
Not talking another player in the place of Cannavaro.
Cassano and not Inzaghi (i hate this player but he knows how to score)

Now that i`m thinking it again Donadoni made worst mistakes than Domenech!

The spanish paper Marca (very friendly towards Real Madrid) says that till july 7nth Ronaldo will sing with Real

Useless stat of the day: Turkey so far in 4 games had the lead in the score  9 mins in total !!!

donadoni is gone yeah, not sure how much more he could have done though to be honest. i also think that bringing cassano in place of inzaghi was a mistake.

marca is a bs paper and they claim all sorts of rubbish. if real offer 100 million euros then i'd jump at that.

What type of odds do you place on United hanging onto Ronaldo?

i actually want him to leave. chemistry issues, ego issues. he's better off at madrid where they buy their "galacticos" and win nothing.

if it's a case where we get 100 mil then that's an added bonus.

however, if he turned around and said he loves united and never wants to leave, then i'd be equally as happy.

I feel the opposite. He showed disrespect to his team mates and to the team. There was a better way of saying "i want out". After the CL win he said i`ll stay more years in MU , a few days later he changed him mind and wants to go to Madrid. Make up your mind man!!!

ManUn is supposed to have asked the 100m but Real rejected it.
I guess it will be half of that plus 1-2 players. Snejder is one possibility, Robinho is another. Sir Alex wants Serhio Ramos. One way or another Ronaldo will leave MU. If you ask me it will be his loss. Real is a dream destination for every player (the history of the club, the city, the stadium ,everything counts) but the timing is very bad and the expectations will be too high.

Rüştü Reçber is starting tonight. What happened to his career after Barcelona? Have his performances fallen downhill? Why isn't he starting in this tourney from the beginning?

He was a very good keeper for Turkey prior to that, especially in the World Cup where he was fantastic.

germany have their minds on the final. very un-german. they need to shape up at half time otherwise turkey are going to sneak this.
