I saw a lot of credit going the Cs way...awful sensitive for a team that just won.

Lakers players, coaches, and fans are whining all over the place, and we're the sensitive ones?

It is a fact that some rims are tighter than others.

Come join us in reality.

Well, obviously. But all NBA rims are 18 inches in diameter. Truck rims are larger.

What we need to do is get a list of all the reasons the Lakers lost according to the Lakers:

1. good looks but the bunnies didn't go in (Kobe)
2. balls bounced the C's way (Kobe)
3. Pierce faked the injury (Phil -- not a quote and not directly related, but somehow fits in here)
4. different rims (Vujacic)
5. game didn't really count as the teams were "feeling each other out" (Phil, sorta...)
6. others?
Celtics fan for life.

maybe vujacic was thinking along these lines "man, cant seem to shoot tonight.. their rims must be different coz i cant shoot the way i shot a classless three at the end of the spurs series" ::)

I think there's something to that last one, but it's not like being humble would have changed the result that much.  The Celts are just a better team.

If they were being serious, so this is the most PATHETIC excuse I've ever heard. Next time they will say the court has a different color, so they have to get familiar to it before they start playing good.

They can come up with as many 'excuses' as they want but none of these if they are a great team should keep them from winning any game. It is making them look foolish imo.

Millions of dollars were lost when Vujacic hit that three that covered the spread. Lucky for Sasha the "Mob" isn't such a prominent figure here in Sin City anymore, otherwise he might have a new home in the desert.  ;)

Before game 2, Phil needs to come out to greet Doc and say "OK, this one's good, right?".

Both Bryant and Jackson said after the game that Kobe had "a bunch" of shots that rattled around the rim and came out. This must be what V is referring to. Thing is, I only remember only one or maybe two of Kobe's shots that did that. Am I forgetting or are Bryant and Jackson making excuses?

By the way, in the postgame, Jackson said he told Kobe that on some of the shots he missed his teammates were open. Apparently Kobe told him that those weren't bad shot, that they were open looks he usually makes. Hmmm. Doesn't that sound like the "old" (ie, real) Kobe, the one who doesn't like to be coached?

Ought to leak pregame information that new rims were installed freahly forged in Salem Massachusetts, and strategically place tour guide info for their digestion of the Salem Massachusetts tours/Witch Trials and BBDs facination with voodoo ;)
