Doc is beyond horrible.

this crap is beyond awful.

How does a guy who sounds so articulate in interviews coach so pathetically?

Danny all you had to do was to pair an AVERAGE coach with this group.

Hell, we'd have probably won 70.

And these 30+ win Hawks would have been and after thought.

i actually thought (for once) cassell was the right move. when rondo missed the shot right before cassell came in, they looked like they were falling apart -- with pierce out of the game, no one looked like they wanted the ball. you never have that problem with sam.

i will fault doc for not going for the 2 down 2. but there is no guarantee they would have won even if they had forced ot.

pierce -- can't win with him, can't win without him. they really can't win without him, and he has to keep his composure and play. after kobe and lebron, he might be the guy in the whole league i'd like to have the ball with 10 seconds left, but he has to stick around until then.

Reminicent of the last Pacers playoff series. We win the blow outs but can't win the close ones.Despite more talent, Doc can't piece it together or be consistent.  

Doc has allowed the Hawks to become a huge threat. Pierce has buckled under challenges and adversity.Again, no Tony Allen? I thought we determined he'd be GOOD for this series, esp on the road.

I'm embarrassed to be a fan right now .... Guess we buckle up for game 7 now and try to get lucky.

Doc caved in to Sam's demands for more minutes in crunch time. He's a weathervane.

We'll win game seven. If we don't, Doc's gone. It's a win-win.

i agree that Doc is probably in trouble if we lose the series, but i don't think winning the series in 7 will be any huge detriment to us in the CLE series. we actually probably match up better against CLE than we do against ATL at this point.

Sure, we may match up better, but we still can't win on the road in the playoffs! That is the crucial factor of winning a trophy, maintaining poise in a hostile environment.

I just don't understand. 


How does a team go from the best defense in the NBA at home to a team that can't get an important stop when it matters?


How can a team with great inside scorers at their positions (KG, Pierce, and Cassel) continue to fire up outside shots during dry spells?


How can a vet team keep losing it's cool on the road?

One thing that bothers me as I watch Doc's press conference: he takes everything in stride, perhaps to a fault.  Maybe his demeanor is a positive for the team, but I'd like to see him get a little upset from time to time and show a little fire.  Moreover, I'd like for him to not agree with the officials whenever someone asks him about a call.  He doesn't always have to be Mr. Personality and savvy with the media.  And during the games, I'd like to see him lose his temper once in a while.  I just want a little more emotion, and not for him to simply be a media spokesperson / intermediary with the officials.

its easy to make Doc the scapegoat, but you have to have to look at the players too - PP throwing his headband, dumb dumb dumb... Ray taking ill advised 3's when we need 2's, dumb dumb dumb - no one boxing out, how in the blue heck can you blame doc for that? Yes Doc could have controlled the game a bit more w/ his substitution patterns, but honestly the team that played better won tonight - I don't think it was purely a matter of coaching

Seriously it is becoming to the point of "who cares"? . We win game 7 we still have stud teams like spurs and detroit to face, who have coaches that are 1000 better than rivers. The guy just flat out cannot inspire his team in super pressure situations, nor he has any x's o's abilities.

Why the heck is Eddie house not playing when the guy has helped you get to this point all year long?? We desperately needed his 3 point shooting abilities tonight to open up the floor

Ray allen keeps losing his composure in clutch situations, and take on a passive role against joe johnson?? what a wuss. Seattle gave up on him for a reason

I don't want to blame kg but i miss al jefferson's ability to score when we need the bleeding to stop.

Whatever we win game 7 and yeah we can be happy and "hope" to somehow win it all but that is a dream  that will never come true. The reason is that we have such an incapable coach. Bitter as heck, i don't know about you. Such talent and what is this??

We look at Doc because he is the person who is in charge. 

He is the one that is suppose to make sure the team plays as hard on the road as they do at home.

He is the one that is suppose to keep his teams composure together. 

He is the one that is suppose to make adjustments when things are going wrong. 



He is the one that has never won in the first round.

I can see subbing Rondo out, he was forcing things out there. but as, mentioned before, not subbing Sam back in when Bibby was at the line is MORONIC. No reason at all. we had to go for three.

i actually don't think it was the crowd as much as it was the Hawks athleticism that was getting us rattled. the Hawks were just getting to the basket quicker and that was definitely rattling the Cs.

Yes it is,like watching two different Celtic teams isnt it?...very frustrating to watch.
