  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
The Vote is this.

Roy Hobbs has offered to join on.

His conditions are:

Extra pick (so it would go Roy, y'all, me) in the 8th and extra pick, same way, in the 10th. He would assume CD5's entire team, and he would take all of CD5's remaining picks.

A simple yes or no is ALL that is needed here. No need to justify your answer. Yes or no.

I would be willing to take over CD5's team, if (and sadly, only if) you guys were willing to grant me a "sandwich" compensation pick to make up for the horrific trade and selection of Elton Brand.  An extra pick at the beginning of the next round and in, say, the 10th would allow me to be able to field a marginally competitive team.

To be fair, we had an alternate (Fatoine) waiting in the wings if someone bailed. So I think he should get first invite. I will PM him, and hope to have someone in place by the time CD5's slot is next up.

To be clear, I'm not lobbying for the slot, if there is another suitable replacement.  At this point, I'm just concerned about seeing 19 other CBers get damaged by one poster's petty decision.  If fatoine wants the team, it's all his.  Otherwise, I'll take over, although I would prefer to be able to field a competitive team.

BTW,

ESPN is reporting that the Miami Heat will soon complete a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves to acquire swingman Ricky Davis and center Mark Blount in exchange for the Heat's Antoine Walker, Michael Doleac and Wayne Simien.

Just a little distraction from the daily drama.

CD5, I'd really like you to stay if that matters.

But with my next pick I select Ronnie Brewer. Fingers crossed on this one.

And am still offering a 9th, 11th and swap of 16th to get into the 8th.

I Will do this with my later 8th just to thank u to Stay in the league  :D

Wow. Al and Antoine together at last. They ought to change the Timberwolves jersey's to read Celtics backwards. You know the way Bizarro's insignia is a backwards Superman S.

For the sake of expediency, let's proceed with the vote to have Roy Hobbs take over for CD5, with compensatory picks attached.

For the record, CD5's team:

Wade
Brand
Carmelo Anthony
David Lee
Udonis Haslem
and picks: 8/5, 9/16, 10/5, 11/16, 12/5, 13/16, 14/5, 15/16, 15/17, 16/4, and 16/5
