I'll take a Danny favorite:  Robert Swift

Looks like Ripred took him in the 6th.

Yeah.  Doesn't it make sense to require nine votes in favor of a veto? (20 members - 2 involved = 18.  50% of that is 9.  Or even ten votes, if you want more than 50%?) And here, I think it only got eight votes, right?

Your commish -- Lucky, isn't it? -- should probably make the call.

exactly.

So I believe, since the veto is open until that person is on the clock, and we are well into blake's pick here, the veto has expired, and the trade is complete.

Edit: I am just waiting to make the pick.  some confirmation would be nice, but i dont see that there is anything to discuss anymore.  the vote has had its time and failed.

Yeah but 10+ people didn't vote because a lot of them haven't logged on/didn't see the veto process and I thought it was clear that we were just going on the people who voted, where the vast majority realized the trade was unfair.

If Im missing something please let me know. Im not sure if WW vote is No Veto
and I cant find Champkind vote.

ooops, my fault...just didnt want things to get lost.  sorry.

Here's the last count. 8-3 (Champkind said anti-veto), but there was some confusion as to what Walker Wiggle's vote actually was. If he's here and can clarify, it would be welcome.

I promise Walker said no veto.  he said it in the thread, as well as in a pm to me.

CD5-no.  we realized it would be stupid to have different systems of voting.  when the league starts, if 5 people arent very active and miss a trade, it doesnt lower the standard needed to garner a veto.  the veto is for the whole league, and needs a majority of the whole league.  to assume that people who didnt vote dont express an opinion is wrong.  they just may not have wanted to go down on either side.

Nice pick, he notched a triple double the other night.

My vote is still against the veto. Not sure how that other rumor started.

In other news: will offer my 9th (#20), 11th (#20), and swap of 16th's (#1) for an 8th round pick.

Thanks.  Let's hope he fends off Conley Jr. for a starting slot.

The point y'all makes, which coincidentally is really good individually for him, is also how I feel.

I thought we would vote on the message board/thread so that the people who didn't vote weren't counted for either side to make it fair. Regardless if this ridiculous trade goes through I am out of the league because I thought we had put this garbage behind us.
