Morris Peterson. If they gave a "comeback player of the year" award, mo pete would win it this year.

please dont join back up again in a round.  It was nice to have you here, you spent a lot of time.  its too bad that you are willing to walk away, Again.  as a reminder, these were rules you set down.  they were enforced fairly.  if you run from results you dont like, well, thats your choice. hopefully it is only in fantasy basketball that that is the case.

I promise Walker said no veto.  he said it in the thread, as well as in a pm to me.

CD5-no.  we realized it would be stupid to have different systems of voting.  when the league starts, if 5 people arent very active and miss a trade, it doesnt lower the standard needed to garner a veto.  the veto is for the whole league, and needs a majority of the whole league.  to assume that people who didnt vote dont express an opinion is wrong.  they just may not have wanted to go down on either side.

I thought we would vote on the message board/thread so that the people who didn't vote weren't counted for either side to make it fair. Regardless if this ridiculous trade goes through I am out of the league because I thought we had put this garbage behind us.

don't get me wrong, i've appreciated all the hard work you've put in to this league, but enough is enough here...

If you're going to quit, then quit.  I'm sick of people quitting and then rejoining an hour later and then quitting again.

I'd love to see you stay and stick out what you started, but if this is going to be the trend every time someone doesn't get their way, then sayonara.  Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

PS i need someone new to make my selection for me at 5:20...can anyone help me out?

I would be willing to take over CD5's team, if (and sadly, only if) you guys were willing to grant me a "sandwich" compensation pick to make up for the horrific trade and selection of Elton Brand.  An extra pick at the beginning of the next round and in, say, the 10th would allow me to be able to field a marginally competitive team.

CD5, I'd really like you to stay if that matters.

But with my next pick I select Ronnie Brewer. Fingers crossed on this one.

And am still offering a 9th, 11th and swap of 16th to get into the 8th.

Um no they weren't the rules I set down. The rules I set down were for the veto process to include only the people who voted either pro or against a trade and for the people who didn't vote because of many reasons ie. Not logging on, not realizing we had a trade being vetoed etc. didn't have their votes counted for either side.

I'm stepping down because this league has turned into a joke in my opinion. If this trade or Edgar's trade couldn't even get vetoed, it's painfully obvious no trade will ever get vetoed, therefore we don't even have a legit veto process in place. The point of a veto system is to vote against clearly unfair trades, it obviously does not work in this league.

If trades like this are allowed, I can only imagine the tanking throughout the season/other ridiculous things that are allowed as well. Because of that I am stepping down.

I admitted it was corny upfront.

For the record, and I thought it was obvious but I guess not, the only reason I re-joined the league was because I thought it was obvious the bush league trade was going to get vetoed.

We'll note that for the record. Seems like there is nothing more to say on the topic.
