Alright, I hope I am not putting my foot in my mouth; but now that it's Saturday I finally had the opportunity to take a longer look at the scoring system:
If we do points it will be
1 pt = 1 pt
1 reb = 1.5 pt
1 assist = 1.75 pt
1 block = 2.5 pt
1 stl = 2.75 pt
1 fg attempt = -.5 pt
1 fg made = 1.2 pt
1 ft attempt = -.5 pt
1 ft made = 1 pt
1 turnover = -1.5 pt
And, I want to confirm that this system is in fact set in stone? Since we're already four rounds into our draft I assume so. But I wonder how many GMs have made conclusions about our scoring system vs. Yahoo's Fantasy rankings?
Most obvious to me, overvalued FGs made in comparison to assists and to a lesser extent rebounds, undervalued 3PT shooting, and no significant penalty for poor FT shooting.
To illustrate here are the per/game rankings of the 06-07 Top20 according to our system:
1. 55.64 K. Garnett
2. 54.95 D. Wade
3. 54.60 K. Bryant
4. 52.59 L. James
5. 49.92 G. Arenas
6. 49.01 D. Nowitzki
7. 49.00 T. Duncan
8. 48.34 Y. Ming
9. 48.04 C. Bosh
10. 47.89 P. Gasol
11. 47.68 E. Brand
12. 47.66 C. Anthony
13. 46.63 C. Boozer
14. 46.22 A. Iverson
15. 45.99 T. McGrady
16. 45.33 V. Carter
17. 45.09 B. Davis
18. 44.89 S. Marion
19. 44.73 M. Camby
20. 44.31 J. O'Neal
