The Atlanta Hawks are trading Buddy Hield, Ryan Nembhard and cash to the Charlotte Hornets for Dorian Finney-Smith, sources tell ESPN.

Nembhard is rumored to be getting waived by the Hornets.  wonder if he'd be someone we could get on a Min deal

Who would you want to let go to add him?

I'd give up Walsh or Conley but they're not going anywhere

I like Walsh, but I would be fine giving Nembhard a two way over Amari Williams. I have seen enough of him. The guy has no motor.

I don't think Amari Williams is going anywhere.  I would not cut him for Nembhard.  This is Ryan, not Andrew.  Ryan Nembhard could compete with Devin Carter for the undersized guard role on the 2-way group, but I think Carter has more upside.  There is still a 2-way slot open, and it will probably go to a guard.  No need to cut Amari Williams.  Amari still has his issues, but he will provide emergency big depth that is needed.

Right, Ryan Nembhard who played in 60 games last season, starting 27 of them. He averaged 7pts/5ast/2rebs and shot 36% from 3pt. The Celtics have enough big men. Queta, Mitchell, Garza, Cenac Jr. Williams looks like a bust to me.

I have no problem with Nembhard on a 2-way if he beats out Carter.  I don't know either of their games all that well so if Nembhard is better, great.  I don't think we need them both on 2-way contracts.  And I disagree on the value of having Williams as an emergency big.  That is what the 2-way contracts are for.  He is a player that can play that emergency role but also still has some developmental potential.  Again, I agree that he is running out of runway in terms of developing, but I still like him on a 2-way.

If the 2-way contracts are Nembhard (or Carter), Dillon Mitchell, and Williams, that gives you a guard, a wing, and a big.  I like the mix.
