Even the realistic ones posted here are unrealistic.  Everyday this drags with more drama we lose control and Brown loses value.  If he disgruntled teams will give us less.

I think we will get a package like Grant, Sharpe and one MIL pick and One Portland pick and maybe one more pick if we are lucky.   It does not matter than Desmond Bane was traded for 4 1st.   It is a different market.

Meanwhile, free agency looms and our hands are tied by this matter to some degree.

I think they include Scoot too.  Scoot, Sharpe, Grant, and two unprotected firsts.  I'm warming to Grant.  Thought he was a lot older, but just turning 32, I'm OK with it.

I think Sharpe's ability to attack the rim is amazing.  Did you know he has the all time combine record for vertical leap at 49".

I think Scoot is becoming a bust, I really do not care for him as he is a poor shooter, but sometimes in trades you have to take back a poison pill.

If we get their unprotected Bucks pick and then like their 2033 unprotected 1st, that has some appeal, though I'd prefer 3 1st's, those 2 and then the later year they have swap rights with the Bucks (so that would give us the better of the Bucks or Blazers pick in that year).

That would give Boston 3 prime 1st round picks to use as trade chips.  Like if Jokic asks out next summer, Boston would immediately be at the top of the list with those picks.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I'm the exact opposite. Have you watched the Blazers play much? I ask because I hadn't, and wanted to catch a few games because of Sharpe's stats (and to watch Holiday). And I found his stats do not match his play.

The games that I've seen, Sharpe is a negative on the court. His defense on ball is meh, off ball is poor. You cannot rely on him to create and have a good offense. You cannot rely on him to spot up and have a good offense. He's a guy that you can trust the advanced stats on - (105 off rating, 115 def rating).

Scoot has shifted his game a bit since his rookie year. He's more efficient. He's picking his spots better. He's always been able to create offense for his teammates. His shooting has continued to improve.

Scoot is not slouch athletically either, but he's also a competitor.

Of the two, I'd prefer Scoot as a "second draft" player. He could be karma for losing Billups all those years ago.

Gyuh no.  Do not warm to Grant.  Do not accept him for only two firsts, if that is the rest you are getting.  No no no no no.  He is 32, but has been in a decline for multiple years in terms of both performance and availability, and his peak performance was never more than good starter anyway.  He is owed $70 million over the next two seasons, and that proposal costs $10 million more than JB, bringing the Celtics right up to the tax line.  Grant does not rebound, his turnover percentage is as high as Jaylen, and is actually higher than his assist percentage.  He is not good.  And he is incredibly expensive, and is not an expiring.  He is awful, do not sell yourself on him.  I get the temptation.  I sold myself on Gerald Wallace 13 years ago.  That was wrong then, and this would be wrong now.

Jaylen Brown cost the next two years is  $57,078,728 and $61,015,192 respectively, and that totals 118,093,920 for the next two years how is that more than Grant's 70 million?  I know there will be other salaries.   But the comment he costs more than Brown is not true.   He makes $34,206,898  next year and has a player option the year after that for $36,413,790.   Then he will be off the books at the end of 2027-28.  Brown at that time still is on the books for more year for $64,951,656 in 2928-29. Then comes off the books at 2029-30.  What math am I missing here?

I agree J. Grant has been in decline some.   We may have to take what the market is offering if moving him was the goal.  He shot 38.9 from downtown and averaged 18.6 PPG last year.   His rebounding is terrible for a forward at 3.5 PPG.    I think while not ideal, he is still a better player than Wallace was when he came to us.     I do like getting Sharpe who is locked into 20 million for 4 years and who is a 20 PPG who can attack the rim but is only a 33 3p shooter.

I would to get him and trade for Kessler immediately.

Shape and Henderson are 22 and 23 years old. I?d want both of them in the trade. Scoot played well in the playoffs. I was impressed. He competed hard.

I don?t think Clingan is on the table. They don?t have a starting center waiting in the wings.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Grant sucks. He would be a DNP most nights for Boston. It would be 2 years of eating 34 and 36 million for a guy that waves a towel.

He is no longer a productive player. They would not be able to move him and he would certainly opt into his player option. His contract is one of the worst in the NBA.

Sharpe is meh. Super athletic that hasn't seem to progress. Scoot seems to be in the same boat. Maybe a change of teams will help.

But I fail to see what Sharpe provides if he starts with white and JT. He is not a good shooter. Not a good defender.

Scoot might be ok to back up PP.
