Spurs fans right now would willingly hand you Fox for free lol, even for Jordan Walsh at this point

If you think Jaylen's contract and potential extension is bad, Fox is set to make 61M in 2029. Yeah no thanks at all

Didn't Fox scam his own fans back when the NFT crap was taking off?  Dude's been a clown.  Don't need him on or off the court.

I'm not trying to trade JB to begin with, but for the love of god if you have to do it at least aim higher than freaking Fox.

This is a perfect moment for a buy low and sell high opportunity.
Or maybe not do a trade for Jaylen Brown.

Maybe a trade of D Fox for D White instead. Hauser and D White would match salaries. Fox as a 3rd scorer behind JB and JT. Another playmaker. A guy who can drive to the basket and cause havoc.

If it wasn?t for Fox, the Spurs would already be eliminated from this series.

He certainly like to drive to the basket all right

Here's one I've been knocking around:

Blazers receive Brown.
Blazers trade Camara, Scoot, Holliday, 1-2 1sts
Their new core is Lillard, Brown, Advija, Grant, Clingan with Sharpe off the bench. They've been big game hunting, and they honestly don't give up too much to get Brown.

Rockets receive Holliday, Scoot
Rockets trade FVV and Smith Jr.
Their new core is Holliday, Durant, Thompson, Sengun, Adams with Shephard and Scoot off the bench. Depending on what they think if Smith Jr., I think this balances their roster and gives them a high level guy to make another push in the playoffs with Durant. It also gets rid of one of the players Durant can't stand.

Celtics receive FVV, Smith Jr., Camara, and 1-2 1sts from the Blazers
Celtics trade Brown
This is a good trade for the Celtics. FVV's starting days are probably over at his age and size, but I think he can still give us good minutes as another ball-handler. Smith Jr. and Camara are both long, rangy players that can shoot and defend. Pairing them with Tatum maximizes Tatum's strengths and gives us more bigs in the rotation. A lineup of Queta, Smith Jr., Camara, Tatum, and White is huge, and we would still have FVV, Pritchard, Hugo, Baylor off the bench.

I would love a trade with Houston that centers on Sengun.  That dude is a beast down low.

And then use the MLE to bring in some backcourt/wing scoring like Simons.

So many Brown trade threads popping up. It would be easier if they were all in one place. Whatever.

I see the difficulty as BOS is trying to trade a star but are not looking to rebuild. They still want to win.  They want good players back (like Giannis), not draft picks.

This is going to make trading Brown very hard. It will not be Murphy and 3 firsts or anything like that.

@JakeLFischer latest on Jaylen Brown- Celtics

?Boston is very much moving forward in the market with the thought that they don?t have to trade Jaylen Brown..I don?t believe at this juncture that the Celtics want to move Brown unless it makes them better.?

I believe this. Yes it's not officially saying he's 100% back, but unless they actually get blown away by an offer, there really aren't many moves or ideas that make sense.

Also FWIW, Draftkings posted Jaylen Brown next team odds, and Boston is still heavy favorites to keep him (+175). The next 2 teams are the Cavaliers and Rockets at +700, +800. During the Giannis saga, Miami and Boston were consistently the Top-2 and close in odds, while MIL and a few others like SAS/NY/CLE/BKN were pretty distant 3rd and further back.

I would be fine with keeping Brown as long as we went out and got another decent big with our trade exception - Myles Turner comes to mind, and then use our mid level to sign another playmaking point guard. We need someone who can "run" an offense.

If looking to trade Brown I think both Boston and San Antonio should be talking to each other:

* San Antonio could very much use a shot creating wing

* Boston could very much use a legitimate playmaking PG

Trade: Dylan Harper or Castle (you probably get Castle), Tarris Reed and other players or draft picks, for Jaylen Brown.

I wanted Tarris Reed because I think he has some Jalen Duran potential and Castle is a darn good PG and a heck of a competitor. San Antonio's trio is now Wemby, Brown and Harper - it's more balanced and they still have good depth around them. They can pick up some other veteran big who is more ready to contribute now than Tarris Reed might be.

For Boston, we're betting on Castle's future, as well as Tarris Reed's.

In the interim Tatum, Castle, White, Pritchard, Hauser, Queta, Hugo, Scheiermann, Walsh, plus our trade exception and mid level signings carry the load.

Our young core is:
Tarris Reed, Amari Williams, Cenac, Hugo, Castle, etc.
