What does a realistic Tatum/Brown team look like without going over 2nd apron? Im talking about a team that can beat the Knicks, Timberwolves,  Spurs, and Thunder

I don't think you worry about the West. And OKC are going to have their own problems trying to keep that team together.

You just worry about your own conference. So can a Tatum / Jaylen tandem lead a team over the best teams in the East? Heck yes!!! That is why you do not break them up.

Based on our last two seasons, they couldn't beat the low-seeded Knicks and low-seeded 76ers.

No not with that tandem.

I would add to the coaching staff and add to the roster before blowing up Aa title winning duo still in its prime.

'There?s mixed feelings about him.' 🤯 'The analytics on Jaylen Brown are not good. I'm more of an eye-test guy. There are some people out there that look at that a little more deeper than the eye test says. I had, not an executive, but an analytics guy, saying to me ?we view Jaylen Brown as the seventh-best player on the team.'😳 @BobbyMarks42 tells @BGeltzNBA and @SamMitchellNBA the market for Jaylen Brown isn?t as robust as it might seem. The 7th best player on the Celtics made All-NBA.  We're stacked!

Seriously, if somebody actually expressed that thought, and they are employed by an NBA front office, they should be looking for a new job.

Are you sure about this?

Analytically, the Cavaliers beat the Knicks in the ECF 4-1!

Analytics has a part in sports, but the sports would becoming dominated by it is becoming a mistake. The Mazzulla 3-point philosophy also stems from it. Baseball now is almost entirely numbers/analytics and even managers no longer make many decisions or in-game adjustments since the spreadsheets and formulas have already computed the plan.

The former players were literally laughing at not taking the midrange shot on the 76ers pick and roll coverage. Mazzulla is just stubborn.

I still replay the final few minutes of the Game 7. Yes Jaylen missed a mid-range that's usually automatic, but all the other possessions were just jacking up 3s when it was still 99-98. Maxey didn't even hit the layups until the final minute, it was there for the taking.

Same thing in 2025, those 20+ point blown leads in Game 1 and 2 were all because they kept firing away from 3 in the second half. And it happened to the Spurs in Game 4 as well where they choked the 29 point lead.

I will admit, the strategy works really well in the regular season when all the teams are nor playing 100%.

Yeah, and lets face it. Come playoff time, the pressure mounts. Even those open 3s can be difficult when you factor in it's the playoffs and could be a close game down the stretch. Especially for role players it can become difficult.

Playoff teams generally close out better too
