My prediction for this offseason

1. Hauser + pick(s) for Gafford OR Isaiah Stewart and fit in with TPE

2. MLE to sign Coby White, Sexton, Grimes or Simons

3. Add a depth big with the veteran minimum (could be Garza reunion)

4. Jaylen, White, PP, Queta, Tatum, Baylor, Hugo, Harper stay put

I still think Cenac is a project and won't be "immediate help", more an end of bench guy for this next season.

The MLE options for a big are Porzingis, Timelord or Mamu, but I think they are gonna have to choose 1 thing with the MLE. Guard/wing or center. They'll probably use it on guard/wing, and trade for a center. Hauser will be traded regardless IMO, even if it's to just offload some money and gain more space to utilize.
Just looking at the stacking up of bigs we're seeing in SA and OKC, my vote is 100% big.

Boston continued to discuss Brown trades on Tuesday, two sources familiar with the talks tell Sports Illustrated. Many of the conversations were initiated by rival teams, sources say. Some were brokered by the Celtics. They are hunting a big man, says a rival executive. ?And they are willing to trade [Brown] to get it.

I?d probably do something centered around Sengun. Have no interest in Gobert. He is too old and makes a lot of money.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

On the second night of the 2026 NBA Draft, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Celtics are "actively engaged" in trade talks surrounding Brown.

"There is a sense of purpose from teams around the league that they feel from the Celtics in these conversations," Charania said. "That does not mean, though, that a deal is guaranteed because Jaylen Brown does have three years left on his contract. ... His status is very much up in the air in Boston."

This is going to drag on for weeks and the end result will be Brown staying. What an absolute mess.

Doubt it. Brad is continuing to shop him. I don?t think he can put the toothpaste back in the tube this time.

Windhorst saying the C's feel the need to trade Jaylen in order to get more competitive.

How so?

I think it has more to do with the money prohibiting them from putting together a better all around team. I believe you don't have to get equal trade value in a trade for Brown. You need parts that make the team more more rounded. If not parts, you need to get picks that you can flip in a year or get guys. I just don't see a way we can keep 2 max guys together that can't overcome the drawbacks the CBA creates.

If we could duplicate 2024 with roster moves, then yes you keep him, but that's not possible in the foreseeable future.

As I said in another thread, I'm ok to take another year and reload when in a better position for a few years rather than try and keep things the same. Plus getting under the tax one more year gives us more options.

The Celtics are the only team in the NBA with two super max contracts. With the new CBA they can?t operate this way. This is the main reason they are moving on from Brown. He is not worth a super max contract.

I don?t think it is a matter of if they trade Brown, just a matter of when.
