8pts/4rebs/1blk in 30 mins of play. For a guy that?s 7?3, not impressive. Mara is a decent college player, but I see him struggling in the NBA. I was going to say that he?d be lucky to carve out a role with a team like Garza did, but Mara can?t shoot and he?s slight for a center at 230lbs. Will be interesting to see how things play out with him, though. Just hope it?s not with Boston.
Dude led the NCAA in block percentage and went 26/9 in the Final Four game on 11-16 for shooting, dominating Motiejus Krivas and Koa Peat, who will both be NBA picks, Peat maybe in the lottery. You do not know of what you speak. He is not a finished product, and Mara may not become a star, but he is a way better NBA prospect than Tarris Reed Jr, especially given that Mara is celebrating his 21st birthday today (he is going to have quite the party!) while Reed turns 23 over the summer. He is an elite shot-blocker, elite finisher at the rim, terrific passer as a big, and runs the floor well. It is easy to see him excelling in the ways Queta excels on the Celtics. Luka Garza he is not, at all.
