But, I know nothing about long term effects of calf injuries.

I don't claim to know much about them either.   But I worry it could contribute to a future Achilles injury.  That being said I am no doctor.

The most fascinating thing for me in this, is seeing what Milwaukee actually wants.  Do they want a boatload of picks or do they prefer an established player as the centerpiece.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Or Myles Turner?

Portis shows more consistent hustle and would likely be more accepting of coming off the bench behind Q

Would you start Q over Myles Turner?

tough call.  Q's earned that starting spot and meshes with the starting group pretty well.  Turner shouldn't start right away due to lack of familiarity with the team/plays.  if he outshines Q as the season progresses, moving him to the starting line-up may be the way to go.

I think with Portis there'd be none of that drama and a lot less effort needed to motivate him to play hard every night
