While better packages are certainly out there with younger stars, Brown is still young enough and has made enough of a name for himself the past few seasons that I think he could work as a centerpiece. Remember, Milwaukee is a small market team that is just as interested at staying relevant/competitive and putting butts in the seat as they are doing a true tear down and rebuild for the future, especially given that they don't really have and/or control their picks for the next four years. So bottoming out doesn't necessarily make them better now.

Something built around Brown, Hugo, and 2-3 1st round picks/swaps would likely be able to get it done in the summer, and give them a replacement marketable star, a burgeoning two-way prospect, and draft capital with possible potential, though I'm not sure if he will last that long past the deadline. If we were confident in Giannis' health and Tatum coming back in February/March, I'd possibly be interested in a bigger deal at the deadline to fill multiple needs, something like:

Boston: Giannis, Turner, Trent Jr.

Milwaukee: Brown, Simons, Hugo, 2030 1st, 2031 1st Swap, 2032 1st

That'd leave us with the following lineup:

PG: PP, Trent Jr.
SG: White, Scheierman
SF: Tatum, Hauser, Walsh
PF: Giannis, Garza
C: Turner, Queta, Amari

Still not sure I would do that for several reasons. First, JB has earned some loyalty, and while this would give him his own team to serve as the primary star of, I'm not sure how thrilled he be about this. Second, I'm not sure about Giannis' injury history and how well he will age. Third, Tatum is best suited (especially post-injury) as a long-term 4, which is the same spot as Giannis. Can they coexist together well enough to make it work on both ends? It does bring some *enticing* small ball possibilities, but you'd ideally want to see how Tatum looks coming back first before making that kind of move.

Agree with all of the above, and I really think Milwaukee?s best bet is a package centered around serious draft capital, but let?s not overthink it? if they wanted Brown for Giannis, I feel like you have to do it. Giannis has had another incredible season, and while he?s missed time I bet playing on a more balanced team with a lesser burden (and more to play for) helps with the wear and tear. I?m pretty sure Brad and Joe could find a way to win games with Giannis and Tatum. Tatum?s shooting allows them to play together, even they are both ostensibly playing the 4.

Fun to imagine but very little chance that?s how it plays out. In respect the loyalty component but I?d be surprised if JB plays out his contract here. Stevens also traded Marcus Smart for a rental center that won us a title? he?s not afraid of taking big swings.

Charlotte could be an outside bet.

A blue chip prospect (supposedly) in Brandon Miller. Miles Bridges. Some cap filler. Some future picks.

Charlotte teams up LaMelo & Giannis with Knueppel as a 3rd option. A legitimate contender in the East if LaMelo can stay healthy.

Memphis

Jaren Jackson Jr + Zach Edey + Cedric Coward + KCP, Londale, Ty Jerome (all 3 are cap fillers) for Giannis + M Turner.

A reset point for an underachieving Memphis team. Giannis & Morant. M Turner as a floor spacer. Not sure Memphis have enough talent leftover on the wings to put together a contender though.

Jaren Jackson Jr could be one of the best singular talents on offer for Giannis. Two good young players in Z Edey and C Coward. An attractive package for a rebuilding team.

If you were Orlando, would you trade Banchero for Giannis?

The team is underachieving this season. Only around .500. Do not look like a title contender. They have already spent a lot of their resources in getting D Bane.

Giannis for Banchero is an immediate upgrade for Orlando at the cost of their long term franchise player. F Wagner as a 2nd option. Bane as a 3rd option. Suggs as a 4th option.

Hmm ... might need to include Suggs as a cap makeweight. That would hurt. Would love to keep that Big 4 together.

Same situation and question for Toronto and Scottie Barnes. Almost identical to Banchero and Orlando. Would you trade Scottie Barnes for Giannis?

Scottie Barnes & Quickley for Giannis & Ryan Rollins?
or
S Barnes, Quickley, Poeltl for Giannis, R Rollins, M Turner?

Toronto are also debating that RJ Barrett for D Sabonis trade. So you could go with 1st trade if they go through with that. I prefer keeping Ingram and RJ Barrett next to Giannis. I would go the 2nd trade to get Myles Turner.

G: Ryan Rollins, J Shead
G: RJ Barrett, JaKobe Walter
F: B Ingram, G Dick
F: Giannis, C Murray Boyles
C: M Turner, Mamukelashvilli

That would be a nice team.

Giannis has the Wolves on his list. That would be intriguing if they can figure it out, an Ant-Giannis duo. It'd probably take 2 of McDaniels/Reid/Randle and probably Joan Beringer as well (Wolves don't have as much draft capital going forward either). I don't think Milwaukee would want Gobert in any package.

interesting options for trade partners.

Banchero for Giannis would probably be the best Mil could do in terms of a top young prospect in return for Giannis.  Mil should have Suggs added as well and possibly a pick or two.  Giannis with the rest of Orl's line up (when they're healthy) would be a top team in the East if not the favorite.

Barnes for Giannis is highway robbery for Toronto.  Raptors should make that deal all day.  Only question is how many more assets they'd have to pile on to make Mil bite on that.  That may be their breaking point but as far as getting a player so much better than the primary one they're sending out you do your due diligence to figure out how to make that work

To me, Sengun + VanVleet for Giannis makes a lot of sense.  Houston has a ton of draft picks if needed.
