Yes, they are a terrible rebounding team, and yes their defense is unreliable, and yes they lack a lot of talent, and yes most of these players have never played together before this season.

But still, they could have won two of the games so far. This team is only a few players and consistent play from doing all right.

this is what we do with online posting and here at CS, isn't it? We post. We give thoughts and opinions. simply because the celtics look to have a poor team this year doesn't mean we don't post.

also, even though this team has serious flaws, it could very well have 1 or 2 wins now.

tonight's hot takes:
- JB had a terrific night offensively
- Hugo continues to impress
- Minott provided some good effort
- White continues to underwhelm as does PP and Simons.

predicted in preseason that this team would have the worst defensive rebounding percentage, give up the most offensive rebounds and give up the most second chance points.  I've yet to see anything that would prove me wrong unfortunately.

the bigs are the worst rotation in the league.  Garza and Tillman shouldn't be in the league never mind getting minutes.  Boucher has been ok but not more than a 5th big on a good team.  Q has gone from being our 4th center last year to our starter.  he's not starting quality but I do think he's shown he can be a solid back up going forward.

C's are going to struggle to win any games with this collection of bigs but don't really have a chance if we can't get at least 3 of Brown, White, PP, Simons and Hauser having good shooting nights -- particularly White.   This team could quite seriously be the last one to get a win this season

I didn't like Hugo starting at forward alongside Jaylen. Hugo has hustle but asking him to defend PFs is a big ask for a rookie SF. He is more of a SF/SG than a SF/PF at his size and skill-set. Mazzula should keep him there. Not make him play out of position.

I want to see Boucher or Minott at PF alongside Jaylen.

I don't think Hugo should play much. Hauser should be the backup SF. Jaylen the starter. No available playing time there for Hugo. We can squeeze him in at SG but I'd rather just play our 3 main guards (Pritchard, A Simons, D White) all 96 minutes at guard. Leave out Scheierman. Leave out Hugo. Just play those 3.

Play a 9 man rotation. The 3 guards. The 2 SFs (Jaylen, Hauser). The 2 PFs (Boucher, Minott). Then 2-3 guys at C (Queta, Tillman, Garza).

I'd like to give Hugo playing time. I just don't think the roster is well built to put him in a position to succeed. I'd give him playing time when Jaylen or Hauser is out injured. Or if Hauser is having a bad game and you want some more energy at SF.

Yikes! Phoenix and Utah already picked up wins. So did Washington. That is 3 of the 4 expected basement dwellers. Brooklyn hasn't gotten a win yet. They are the only one left of them.

Indiana is 0-3. They are having an injury nightmare. Mathurin out. Nembhard out. McConnell out. Hali already out. No guards left. They might pick up some more losses before they get enough bodies back healthy.

Houston are 0-2. They should win soon.

New Orleans are 0-2. Some talent but a lot of unreliable talent. Could go either way. New Orleans are next up for Boston. So at least one of us will be off of this list.

I don't disagree with what you're saying but my point is that for a rookie that was drafted late in the first round, he's playing with a lot of effort and making some good/smart plays.  he's showing BBIQ that I was hoping to see from Baylor this year.  I would say though that if he's outplaying the other SF/SGs on the team, give him the minutes.
