Its just strange that Lillard won the 3pt contest, but he won't play this year for his achilles.

Shows you how much of a gimmick this weekend mostly is. Even this dunk contest, Jaxson Hayes and 3 guys I've never heard of before. Oof

Yeah there's some things here or there that are cool, but the game itself definitely isn't one of them. Also, that stadium for yesterday's festivities looked like a Miami Heat game with only like 100 seats filled lol

Lol and then Jaxson Hayes with probably one of the most basic/boring dunks I've ever seen in a "dunk contest". Literally looked like a transition dunk you do in slow motion in practice.

Honestly the only dunk I said wow to was the Carter Bryant 50. And even then, it wasn't a 50 like the Lavine/Gordon duels were. Heck it wasn't even McClung level.

They need to find a way to encourage actual stars to participate. Can you imagine an Amen Thompson level player participating?

Peacock complaint:

Well, I would have liked to watch the three-point contest and the Team Harper appearance, but I was out.  Because this was on streaming, I couldn't set it to record.  Unless I'm missing something, or there's some issue with my particular interface, there was no option for me to start this All-Star session at the beginning.  I just turned it on to see a bunch of Knicks celebrating, so I guess they won.

I hit the same thing with a game on Peacock once and missed almost all of it.  How does a streaming service backed by a major network not have this basic functionality?

The Phoenix Suns and forward Haywood Highsmith have agreed to a multi-year deal.

Phoenix got themselves under the luxury tax by approximately $2.4 million at last week's trade deadline. Now, the Suns have filled their open roster spot by signing Highsmith.

Yeh.  That seems like a commonality with the streaming games now.  And I?ve become pretty accustomed to watching most games on a delay so I can skip through commercials, half time time, reviews, hell I even skip through free throws sometimes.  Prime does give you the option to watch highlights of the parts you missed if you tune in late.  Which is something at least.

New ASG format was decent, IMO. Wemby set the tone early on and the games were more competitive.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Not one comment on the ASG itself, and it involved a Celtic.  It's wild how irrelevant the game has become.

The product this year was a lot better until the finale.

I didn't realize it started early.  I caught the last 8 minutes of the 3rd and a dud final.  Leonard going off was kinda fun.  Once that last game was out of hand it turned into your usual All Star game garbage.

Same here. I wasn?t home when it started, but watched the replay later on. Kawhi was really impressive. He looked like Kobe.

@RealBobManning
asked Kevin Durant what he expects to see from Jayson Tatum if he returns this season and what the final steps are in his recovery:

"I expect to see All-Star-level play and the same Jayson Tatum we've seen before."

"Usually around this time you're playing a lot of 5-on-5."

Jorge Sierra: Even though he's not even in the Top 15 in All-Star selections, Oscar Robertson to this day remains the player with the most All-Star wins in NBA history. He went 11 of 12! Has one more win than Kobe Bryant (10 of 15) and LeBron James (10 of 21).

I remember Bill Russell talking about that. Whatever team Oscar is on wins in the ASG.

11 for 12 is a crazy record.
