I think it is natural to freak out, but some of the reactions don't make sense. Some are saying a year and a half to fully recover? Really? It does somewhat depend on the severity, but common. I really think 10 months is a fair time table. NFL linebacker Terrell Suggs, was back to playing football in only 6 months!! Sure we fear the worst but we can all also hope for the best.

Either way if it's an Achilles he's out next year.  It will also give new ownership a valid reason to blow it up and reset.  Hopefully Dallas can't get giannis and they come after JB for the #1 pick.
Sorry, just not true!!! it can be true but saying if it's an Achilles means he misses all of next year guaranteed is completely false!!! that is spreading misinformation! you don't know the severity yet if it is his achilles

Maybe he's cleared to return in, say, March. Is he gonna be back to his old self by the playoffs? I doubt it.

Not a formal tweet but Shams said this on TV:

Worst case is the Achillies.

Best case is some sort of ankle issue.

I mean, Haywards basically broke his leg in half. I don?t think it?s a Hayward/Paul George type injury.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I?m hopeful for a severe calf tear like KAT had.  Awful and painful, but probably a 4-5 month recovery time, but it happened to KAT at 27 and he seems to have fully recovered.  We would presumably have Tatum for most or all of next season in that scenario.

Expecting it to be an Achilles tho.  Hard to imagine anything else.

Jayson Tatum underwent successful surgery today to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon.

No timetable is currently available for his return, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

This makes me physically ill. Just devastating for him and the Celtics.

I have no idea where this franchise turns.

I literally have no idea what is going to happen going forward. Tatum is done for until 2026-27.

Do the Cs just ride it out and try to be a playoff team? Do they play for a lottery pick? Do they move Brown?
