How are things going? Well, I made an Instagram story with this meme pictured here, and the caption "W.T.F" and a half-joke saying "brb jumping off the nearest bridge" (clear joke), and then I wake up this morning to see a bunch of IG notifications saying they removed the post, and that I matter and offered me some self help and suicide prevention resources. So yeah...

After sleeping on it (not well) I find myself today even more frustrated with this team.

Starters scored 8 points in the 4th quarter. That is middle school level.

Defense is playing well enough to win.

The offense has zero movement and absolutely no sets to get easy baskets. Guys are turning down open lanes to the basket to take pull up 3's. It is like we have a coach that can't draw up plays so he just encourages them to keep shooting even when they are missing in volume. The pull up 3s when they have numbers is just stupid basketball.

Super disappointed in JB and his turnovers because he has the worst handles I have ever seen and Tatum who has been a no show on offense and just takes some really stupid shots.

Tatum is not Kobe so stop trying to play like him. Get your butt in the post and score.

This series trama is so not needed as the Knicks really are not any good. They just allow the Cs to beat themselves over and over with the same mistakes.

I don't have much hope going into Saturday. Just another game where the Cs will try to win by making it a 3 point contest instead of playing tough basketball.

The team is soft and resting on last year's laurels!  The one thing that drives me crazy about Tatum is his inability to finish at the rim!  How many layups does he miss in a season.  Yeah, this series is over!  Who are we drafting!

Stephen A. Smith got his wish. He wanted more than one New York win in this series.

Now he wants New York to finish them off.

Knicks fans getting excited. Starting to believe.

This will be all the more cruel when Boston dispatch them in 6.

What's even more frustrating is that I still don't think New York really did anything to us defensively to make our offense that bad. We were literally just not hitting wide open shots and had nothing else to turn to.

Knicks are giving them the open set shots and they are falling for it. Miami did the same stuff, no ball movement, or cuts to the basket. It's easy to defend, just a matter of the shot going in or not. They also are happy with just letting Tatum and Brown try to mismatch hunt.

This is the other thing. Beyond the absurdness of the three point volume, this is virtually the only sets we run - run screens and actions to get the mismatch and try and exploit from there. No dynamism or variety in our offense.

That is the main element of the offense. Mismatch hunting. It has generated one of the top offenses in the league for the last 2 years and won the team a title.

It is also why Boston is feared by many other teams. Because very few teams can switch comfortably 1 through 5 as frequently as they need to against an offense like Boston. It is why NY fears Boston. Because KAT and Brunson cannot do it.

The mismatch hunting offense is primarily Jaylen & Tatum but they also do it with D-White, Jrue, and when healthy Porzingis. Porzingis is not getting it done right now. They need to let the guards do a bit more to get some more variety that way.

All you can do is just take it one game at a time now. Focus on Game 3

No thanks. I don't gamble.

A friendly TP wager? Boston to win in 6 or 7 or NY to win in any number of games?

As much as I hate Stephen A and all the national media hate towards Boston, they deserve it. Seriously, don't play like morons and blow two straight 20-point leads. And maybe Tatum should do better than 11-41 shooting through the first two games and the C's should do a better job defending the Knicks in the clutch (that's another small issue btw, in a close game NY has a massive advantage against us with Brunson - idk who our "go-to" guy is, and it's prob not Tatum or Brown no matter how much they try)

I'm not usually a big "that national broadcast guy is a homer or anti-Celtics" guy, but when things started going south for the Celts last night my aggravation was doubled by Reggie's enthusiasm.  At one point he openly said "this is what WE have to do" in reference to the Knickerbockers.

Head is still spinning a bit this morning.  Though I have to say, much less so than game 1.  Last night I was more resigned to the inevitability than I was in Game 1.  Holding onto a loose string hope is not exactly was expecting here.

Reggie made a career out of the killing the Knicks. Why he is rooting for them now?

That is a weird marriage.

I hated hearing games with Hubie Brown for the same reason.  "What WE have to do...."

Reggie's long been known to have a deep hatred for the Celtics because he couldn't get past them/Bird.  it's still noticeable whenever he's covering a C's game

Bird coached him and I've heard him speak of his former coach with great reverance many times.
