This is honestly just sad. Most teams have to wait decades (if ever) to have a roster as talented as the Celtics and they are just squandering away greatness. Thank god we won the title last year is all I can say.

It's one thing to be down 2-0 to Cleveland or OKC

New York?? Are we serious right now??

They?re not that good. Brown was out best playoff performer last year and he?s not 100% ?should?ve been obvious when we struggled against a complete inept magic team, sure we won in 5 but it was a dog fight against the worst team in the playoffs

I am pretty sure Miami was the worst team in the playoffs.

Game 3 is three days away.

Good. I need a break from this team

Oh it's a Saturday afternoon game. You can forget it, the Knicks will shoot lights out at MSG.

I cannot watch the next game live. If you cannot hold a 20 point 3rd quarter lead in back to back games at HOME it is not worth my time and heart. If they win I will watch on DVR. Same thing for game 4. What ever happened to swinging the ball around making multiple passes until someone had a great wide open shot. That has disappeared and now we cannot even make wide open corner 3s (Pritch & Tatum). I think we play better on the road but if they don't have the heart of a champion then it will be over quickly. Imagine BOS & CLE getting bounced in round 2? Unthinkable.

Joe in the postgame saying they didnt execute they got good looks

said he didnt calll timeout because he felt JT got a good look last game and thought he would do it again next game

Says 60/40 where they got good looks and didnt make them and 40 where they had live ball turnovers

basically saying he is ok with the shots they took but just didnt make them, and kept turning the ball over

says the hack a mitch was to get him off the court because he was a +19 when he was on the court rather than put him on the line

says all the Knicks starters were negative plus minus while Robinson was a +19

says they have to be better at executing at critical moments of the game

This is how you know he will never be a good coach. He literally cannot adjust and cannot even accept it as a possibility. It's always a "make or miss" issue with him, and there's literally no backup.

Also - no coach in their right mind lets the Jays try and iso in that sitaution with as awful  as they played all game long. It's just complete lack of self-awareness and what's actually happening in the game.

Going to be yet another lost season because we refuse to get rid of the clearly overmatched coach.

Hey Tatum, I think Kerr made the right choice to bench you back in the summer.

Jeez.

Congrats, there was 1 worse team in the playoffs.

Celtics wouldn?t have beat a single team in the west this year?they simply aren?t that good and are running on fumes

15-60 in game one from 3
10-40 in game 2

Most of these misses in crunch time in the 4th where you need every point you can get.

This team doesn't look interested in winning games anymore. Mid December effort

Jeez.

He's really not doing much to help himself. Yes, he had 3 great games in a row against ORL to close out that series. But he's been absolutely horrific these first two games. A combined 11-41 shooting. And especially in the 4th he's being outplayed by multiple Knicks players too. Unreal. He's gonna get scorched by fans and the media in the following days and hate to say it but it's deserved.

There's a lot of blame to go around but Tatum is supposed to be that alpha. He's been far from it, and a lot of times he starts games badly too.

Joe obviously has been a bum but anyone blaming him is dead wrong?once again the Celtics had a massive lead and the Celtics players literally choked like dogs, got tight and couldn?t hit the broad side of a barn or defend anything.
Players fault.

Who.ledt that lineup out there and who decided to put NY in the bonus with 2 to go?
Who coaches them to chuck 3 after 3?

It's 100% on him

TP. There's a reason they look confused and unsure what to do when the threes don't go in, and that's because that's the only thing that Joe is pushing on them with his extreme philosophy.

Ime really, really screwed us. This guy is a joke and the exact opposite kind of leader that this team needs.

Eh, Ime made a mistake, but it's management that really screwed us. Whatever he did, he was still highly coveted by other teams. We fired him and his replacement was Joe. HOU was more than happy to hire Ime.

I really like Brad, but he is too much of a people pleaser. He didn't need to retain Joe after 2023. He perplexingly signed him before the year was up, but he was just an interim option at that point. We could have had a long offseason search for a coach.

Eh, it's so hard to judge this scenario because we don't have all the facts.

But it sounded like we had  no choice given the people who were involved, especially in the environment and culture at the time. It's one thing for another team to overlook this issue, but it's another for us to overlook and prioritize a male coach over the wife of a team executive who I believe also was an employee or involved in some fashion.

Feels like it wouldn't have worked out just given everything that happened.

Considering they won gold it certainly wasn?t the wrong decision.
They got lucky with that easy path last year and that they were able to get 1 title out of this core because I feel Tatum has been a mental midget on most big games ever since the finals choke against the warriors.

This is 2023 all over again. Same mistakes. Same losses. Same stars sucking. Same coach looking lost.

Really is. This has Miami written all over it. Hopefully we don't wait until game 4 before responding.

How about they win the next 4 and send NY in a tailspin mentally? Right now they won the Super Bowl.

He can?t rely purely on analytics. He needs to have a feel for the game too.
