4 hours to go.

Work your magic Brad.

I'd be happy with any of Lonnie Walker, Seth Curry, Javonte Green. Dream is Kessler.

C?mon Danny, give us Kessler to make up for facilitating that Luka trade. What a homerun that would be for Brad.

Mark Williams

Rookie year = 43 games played, 19mpg
2nd year = 19 games played, 26mpg
3rd year = 22 of 47 games played this year, 25mpg

Guy has had a lot of injury issues to give up such a bounty for.

True, but Mark is young and talented. He?s averaging 18pts, 10rebs, 3ast, 2blk over his last 10 games.

I don't know why, but he strikes me as an empty stats guy.  I keep thinking of him as the new Christian Wood.

Or Moses Brown who had 21 points and 23 Rebs vs. Boston once upon a time.

I think he has a better motor than those guys. Mark was taken 15th overall. The talent is there. Wood is lazy, Moses Brown wasn?t even drafted by a team.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I saw a lot of Charlotte fans were unhappy with Mark Williams motor.

Some complained that he would get down easily in games when things go against him / go badly for him. That he stops working for a short while until he gets his head back on track.

Some felt his downturns in effort were due to being overlooked on offense. That he maintains effort when he is getting touches but stops working hard when he isn't getting the ball on offense.

Chris Mannix @SIChrisMannix

A name to watch today is Atlanta's De'Andre Hunter. Hawks have been fielding calls on Hunter, with the Cavs emerging as a frontunner for the 6'8" swingman, sources tell @SInow.

That would be an interesting one. D Hunter has been having a great season. A breakout campaign. He would be a great fit for one of the teams in need of a SF.

That is exactly the question that he will now have a chance to answer.  He is being given an opportunity to play in a contending environment with some of the best players in the game.  Sometimes this results in a player elevating and being more competitive, understanding his role and thriving in it.  Sometimes it results in a player being exposed for having put up empty stats on a bad team.  I have no idea, I am not familiar enough with his game.  I am just acknowledging that there is plenty of risk that he will be exposed vs. being able to elevate his game and play a very defined role on a high level team.

I get why LAL would take this risk.  They are banking on him accepting a role and that he will benefit from playing alongside Luka.  He is the type of player that Luka wants on the court with him.  Like Gafford and Lively  We'll see.

Mark Williams has 60 dunks in only 575 minutes this season. That is a dunk, what, every 10 minutes. Roughly.

Anthony Davis has 75 dunks in 1440 minutes. So Mark Williams has almost as many dunks as AD in only 1/3 of the playing time this season.

The other thing I saw lots of Hornets fans complaining about was how often the Hornets guards (especially V Micic) missed Mark Williams on his cuts / rolls to the hoop. That Mark Williams could have had a lot more easy buckets and dunks if he had better passers feeding him which he surely will have with Luka & LeBron. Outside of LaMelo, the Hornets do not have much passing. Micic a combo guard acting as a makeshift PG.

Vucevic is another guy who should be on the move today. Chicago's draft pick is top 10 protected. They gotta tank to secure their own 1st rounder this summer. Vucevic is the prime guy to be moved.

Chicago got their pick back from the Spurs in the Lavine-Fox deal, so their only incentive for tanking is getting better draft position (which was always a good enough incentive), but not in keeping their pick, since it is theirs no matter what now.

He is not playing. He is just sitting on the end of the bench because someone overpaid him on a long term deal just before his body broke down.

Ahh, interesting. That takes the pressure off them.
