Yeah, of course, we make a lot of money and we can feed our families, but at the end of the day if they say, ?You?re not coming to work tomorrow, you?re going over there,? they can decide that. They got to change that a little bit.

I'm not sure that he has a good grasp on what actual slavery looked like.  I can assure you, it didn't involve collective bargaining and living in luxury while earning millions of dollars.

Guessing he wouldn?t be whipped or killed if he refused to report to a new team.

My maybe trade that works in Fanspo trade machine. Springer to the Sixers and we get Eric Gordon and Ricky Council IV.

This trade results in BOS taking back more ($5.1M) than they send out ($4.0M) but Fanspo is saying it works due to the "MSE" (minimum salary exemption) that appears to be applied to Gordon's salary.   This is a new one to me (there is always some nuance that I don't know).  In any case, I don't see PHI doing this unless we were to send some kind of draft compensation.

Minimum Salary Exception
The contract may not contain a signing bonus. This exception also allows minimum-salary players to be acquired via trade. There is no limit to the number of players that can be signed or acquired using this exception.

I'd be willing to send two second round picks... Really doesn't seem like a trade that would be made but the Sixer's season may be over...

Reminds me of people who toss around Hitler comparisons willy-nilly. They have no idea how awful a person Hitler was, and how very few people are anywhere close to that level of wicked.

Yep here we go, Caleb Martin in his Dallas debut Thursday will face the Celtics and shoot like 8-11 from 3, then never be heard from again after that  ::) :P

I have no idea what the Bucks are thinking trading Middleton in a deal for Kuzma. Why??

(It hasn't happened yet but apparently according to reports it's "getting close")

League sources say the Dallas Mavericks, fresh off their Luka Dončić-for-Anthony Davis swap that sent shockwaves through the Association, have dreams of adding Durant to their Davis-Kyrie Irving-led group.

While the likelihood of Dallas pulling this off now appears unlikely, the mere idea of Durant joining Dallas? star-studded group sheds new light on the thinking of Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison after he was roundly ridiculed for the Dončić deal.

I would do the trade if I were Milwaukee but I wouldn't want to give up any additional value in terms of valuable draft picks.

I like Kuzma over Middleton because Milwaukee need athleticism next to Giannis, Brook Lopez and Lillard. Middleton is just too slow defensively. Kuzma will be an upgrade as a defender & rebounder.

Kuzma is not a good fit in the offense which is why I wouldn't want to give up much additional value for him but it is a role similar to the one he played for the Lakers when he was next to LeBron & AD. So he can probably do a similar job for Milwaukee. 12-13ppg on passable shooting numbers. While boosting your athleticism & defense.

Not sure why Milwaukee would be making Kuzma a main target though. Maybe they just can't get anybody else. No interest in Middleton around the league. Overpaid, oft injured, slow, another year on his deal.

It sounds like there is interest in that 2031 1st round pick. It would be nice to see them get something good back in return for that. Put them back in the title chase. I don't see them in it right now but a strong trade with that pick could put them back in the chasing pack.

Dru: ?Essentially [the Warriors are] trying to trade Andrew Wiggins & some draft picks [for a star], that?s just not going to get them very far. At least it hasn?t. I will say, I think Miami was willing to do that deal for Jimmy Butler. Let?s see if by Thursday that gets revisited.? @Brian Windhorst

Philly is dumping KJ Martin for nothing.

Rumors of a Nurkic for Jonas V. trade.
