I'm not sure that he has a good grasp on what actual slavery looked like.  I can assure you, it didn't involve collective bargaining and living in luxury while earning millions of dollars.

Guessing he wouldn?t be whipped or killed if he refused to report to a new team.

My maybe trade that works in Fanspo trade machine. Springer to the Sixers and we get Eric Gordon and Ricky Council IV.

This trade results in BOS taking back more ($5.1M) than they send out ($4.0M) but Fanspo is saying it works due to the "MSE" (minimum salary exemption) that appears to be applied to Gordon's salary.   This is a new one to me (there is always some nuance that I don't know).  In any case, I don't see PHI doing this unless we were to send some kind of draft compensation.

Minimum Salary Exception
The contract may not contain a signing bonus. This exception also allows minimum-salary players to be acquired via trade. There is no limit to the number of players that can be signed or acquired using this exception.

I'd be willing to send two second round picks... Really doesn't seem like a trade that would be made but the Sixer's season may be over...

isnt gordon cooked especially playing defense..yes he can lunch 3s..we got enough guys that can shot ..we need energy guys that place defense.

I would do the trade if I were Milwaukee but I wouldn't want to give up any additional value in terms of valuable draft picks.

I like Kuzma over Middleton because Milwaukee need athleticism next to Giannis, Brook Lopez and Lillard. Middleton is just too slow defensively. Kuzma will be an upgrade as a defender & rebounder.

Kuzma is not a good fit in the offense which is why I wouldn't want to give up much additional value for him but it is a role similar to the one he played for the Lakers when he was next to LeBron & AD. So he can probably do a similar job for Milwaukee. 12-13ppg on passable shooting numbers. While boosting your athleticism & defense.

Not sure why Milwaukee would be making Kuzma a main target though. Maybe they just can't get anybody else. No interest in Middleton around the league. Overpaid, oft injured, slow, another year on his deal.

It sounds like there is interest in that 2031 1st round pick. It would be nice to see them get something good back in return for that. Put them back in the title chase. I don't see them in it right now but a strong trade with that pick could put them back in the chasing pack.
