JB finished the 2nd quarter well, getting back some rhythm on offense.

But our def needs to be better.

We don't look like we care one way or another.
In a long season, I know that can happen occasionally, but it's been a few games now.

Do the players and coaches really, actually, truly, realistically think that those gawd-forsaken step-back, contested 3's off the dribble are going in often enough to justify their existence. Horrible offense and even worse defense. Celts look uninterested.

They often taken in order to open up opportunities in future possessions to (a) drive to the basket (b) drive and kick for an open stand still 3 (c) hit a rolling big man to the basket for an easy dunk.

They accept a certain number of low percentage possessions (step back 3s) in order to get more of those high percentage ones. Because defenders have to take the threat of a step back 3 seriously. You have to take enough to get them to commit to defend it.

Whether they are correct in this thinking or not ... that is the thought process.

You actually think this is a planned strategy ?
Sorry, it is not. It is a 3-point philosophy run amok.

It is a planned strategy to take some of these shots.

And when the players take too many of those shots, the coaching staff have to reign them back in.

All coaches accept a certain number of these low percentage pull up 3s / step back 3s in order to set up those other higher percentage attempts.

Damian Lillard is killing the Bucks defensively. Love it.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Why settle for a fadeaway against Green, Tatum?

Incompetent ass ref crew.  That's a flagrant on Giannis.  First Giannis elbows Jaylen in the head, then a reckless close out.  Come on NBA.

I groaned once I learned Natalie Sago is part of the officiating crew.  She has no business officiating in the NBA.
