My key to the game, MIL has 4 rotation players that have shot really poorly from 3 so far:

Lopez            26%
Portis            26%
Connaugh      25%
Trent             23%

Just for reference, Tillman is shooting 21% from 3 so these guys are almost as bad as Tillman.  This group is averaging about 12.5 3PA per game.  The difference between this group hitting say 3 of 12 vs. say 5 of 12 or 6 of 13 could be the difference.  The point spread is only 4.5 so 1.5 3s made.

We have some issues also with a couple of players you expect to make 3s.  Hauser is at 30% from 3 and Brown is only at 27%.  Not sure if Brown will play but Hauser took 10 3s last game so he just needs to make a couple more; go 4 for 10 instead of 2 for 10 that that is a 6 point swing.

Brown and Hauser ended up 2 for 10 from 3 and Lopez, Portis, and Connaughton were combined 4 for 10 (Trent didn't play).  It ended up not really mattering I guess.

Second game in a row we were down 16-2 to start the game and won both games.  That has to be some kind of a record.

Good win.  Don't have to see Giannis and his BS elbows for a month.

JT's shot selection will drive me bats*** forever but he was phenomenal otherwise.

Clearly this team can still defend when they need to.  That second half was terrific on that end.

I just realized that we only play the Bucks 3 times this season.  After Dec 6 we won't see them again, unless we match up in the playoffs.  I'm good with that.  Hate watching Giannis get away with blatant offensive fouls and travels.

Oh then we have already won the season series against them, for tiebreaker purposes I guess  ;D

Jaylen can do some borderline-dirty stuff when he loses his temper sometimes.  Not my favorite part of his game.

That's what the Celtics need. We need somebody who can "get dirty" and "play dirty". A Ron Artest type player. Jayson should learn some dirty tricks from Jaylen from time to time instead of ISO chuck 3's.

So sick and tired of Giannis just bulldozing every NBA player like he's untouchable. Just rewatch that 2022 playoff series Celtics/Bucks...Giannis had his way in the paint. That elbow to JB's head should've been a flagrant 2, but ok NBA, calls JB's foul a flagrant-1 smh.

Also the look at Doc Rivers' face was priceless after that Brown foul on Giannis  ;D

I'm surprised he's still on the team

Agree Giannis throws his elbows around with reckless abandon. Certain favored players are allowed to get away with physically assaulting their defenders.

The worst part is him crying on the rare occasion they both to call him for an offensive foul. Dude should foul out of every game.

Well he kind of was  ;D that draw-back handshake was something you do at the playground in 5th grade. I didn't mind it though, he can do what he likes. We had the last laugh  :police:

Giannis played like a clown yesterday. 2 dirty plays on JB and JT.

And then the next moment, Giannis tried to give him a sincere handshake, but Jaylen was not interested, shall we say.   8)

I love that we are not firing on all cylinders, taking teams best shot and still finding ways to win. Starters logging heavy minutes though, Tillman and Walsh need to go back to giving Joe confidence in them. Would like to see them given a chance to battle through their uneven play.

  • On To Banner 19!
I guess the answer is everyone hates the Celtics, but it's crazy to me that people seem to be unaware that Jaylen literally got ELBOWED by Giannis. People are acting like Giannis just did that randomly in the middle of a game when in reality he did that after elbowing Jaylen. I totally get Jaylen being slighted by that and feeling ticked off about it. Imagine if this was the other way around.

But also, it makes me happy to know Jaylen and our team is still locked in and clearly on the hunt for Banner 19.

Contrast that with the joke that is the Milwaukee Bucks led by Doc Rivers, Darvin Ham and two guys who never seemed to get along and are honestly probably spending their last days in Milwaukee anyways (Lillard + Giannis). That Bucks team is done. Back to irrelevancy until they find a diamond again in the Draft
