A couple of great defensive plays by M Turner against Chet down the stretch. Blocked a driving runner by Chet when Chet had beaten him but went up soft and allowed Myles back into the play. Closed out hard late on the shot clock knowing that Chet wanted to shoot the 3 and blocked it. Then defended brilliantly on a drive by Chet and forced a turnover after Chet had recovered that loose ball from his blocked 3.

M Turner did not have a great game but he came up big when it mattered. Only 9pts on 3-11 FGA and 2reb in 30min but 5 huge blocks.

Embiid?

There's no way.

Probably trying to flip Paul George and their picks. I can't see what else they'd be doing. I don't think they will draft both 2 and 3.

George and 3
for
Johnson, Vassell, and 2

This is Morey still thinking George has positive value, or still trying to convince everyone else that.

I was thinking more Embiid straight up for 2, not just moving up 1 spot. I guess it does say moving up though.

I?d rather have Johnson and Vassell. George is nowhere near the player he used to be.

Yeah, I've got to think that he has negative value right now.

If Brad Stevens had the same aptitude for putting together a coaching staff as he has building a team roster, Rick Carlisle would be the Celtics head coach and we would be working on a repeat title right now.

You do realize that JT tore his Achilles and JB tore his knee, right? So probably not working on a repeat even if Carlisle was coaching.

You do realize that Mazzulla played both Tatum and Brown into the ground during the regular season and that both sustained classic wear & tear injuries.  Taking it even a step farther, Tatum was injured trying to recover a loose ball caused by a Jaylen Brown turnover he committed attempting the same bone-headed dribble into traffic move that should have been coached out of him a long time ago,

Having said that, I'm not going to 100% claim the two injuries were directly on Mazzulla. Brown and Tatum played too much basketball in the off-season with USA Basketball and the Olympic team. Players get injured all sorts of ways due to all sorts of reasons, so who knows. But I will claim that Mazzulla's coaching was probably at least a partial contributing factor.

Maybe we are not working on a repeat with Rick Carlisle as coach, but we would be looking at a much better chance to be doing so than with the Bewildered One.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Jaylen played in 63 games and averaged 34mpg. Tatum played in 72 games and averaged 36mpg. Played into the ground...

Blaming Joe?s coaching for Jaylens turnover, which led to Tatums injury is hilarious. Should have coached it out of him!  ;D

Seems like the Sixers trade talks to acquire #2 from San Antonio are legit and picking up steam. Would they do it for Maxey + McCain? No way in hell though SAS would want George. No one does. He's negative value. Even Embiid for all his injuries probably has more trade value than PG13 IMO

if it is a trade up it is probably 3 + future 1st or something like that for 2.  If it is 2 without 3 it would have to include either Maxey or Embiid.

Oh right I completely forgot PHI had #3.

It'd be funny if PHI traded up and picked the wrong guy, similar to how they traded up with us for Fultz

The Phoenix Suns star Durant is expected to be traded away by next week, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reported on Wednesday. Appearing on the Burns & Gambo show, Gambadoro added that it could be sooner but that his formal prediction is that Durant will be traded at some point next week. I expect Kevin Durant will be traded from the Phoenix Suns next week, said Gambadoro. There?s a lot of stuff out there. Some of it?s accurate, a lot of it is not accurate. We?ve said it all along that he will be traded by the draft. Outside shot that something happens sooner. But I?m gonna say that next week, my expectations are Kevin Durant is traded.via Larry Brown Sports

Apparently Turner has a respiratory illness. Limiting in games as well as practice.  Able to play but lacking some stamina.  Likely explains his inconsistent play and effort from game 3.
