Feels good to watch the Knicks lose this convincingly. They had no business being in the ECF.

So true. Can?t help but think watching how bad it was for Celtics to lose to these clowns. Unacceptable

Not denying the injuries part of it (Jaylen, Porzingis, then JT)

But yeah, the Celtics choked big time. Look at Indiana with leads. They still tried hard on defense and were attacking the basket and settling for easy 2s to stay ahead or build leads.

The Pacers DID NOT take more than 37 threes in a single game this series. Contrast that with the Celtics. Yes Indiana choked Game 3 but that is it. We choked Games 1, 2 and 4 and despite having a 14-point lead in each of the first five games we were down 3-2. The Celtics also played awful defense in crucial stretches especially 2nd half of Game 4 in particular. Just sad.

But honestly it is what it is. Was not meant to be. Indiana would have beaten us anyways especially with Tatum also out

True. And if the Celtics don?t make changes to play style and approach they won?t be back this far any time soon.

Think I prefer Indiana winning over OKC.

Don't care who wins it all. The Knicks are done. The hate watching has ended.

Rooting for IND but I'd be shocked if OKC doesn't win.  I'm thinking OKC in 5.

Agreed with all of this.  OKC is a really well constructed team and I can't see them losing.  But, I'm pulling hard for Indy.

I wonder how many times I playoff history the series went

home team LLLWWW

It happened in consecutive rounds this year with the Knicks on both sides of the coin.

I'll be real though, looking at the East and also factoring in the *possibility* we see Giannis traded to a team in the West, like the conference isn't exactly one where there's an "invincible team". Even CLE/BOS will have to adjust and IND/NY are still great/scrappy but not "invincible".

That's why I'm fine making some moves to trim money BUT would still want to keep our core (JT/JB/White) and add some long term pieces alongside them to continue making runs.

I'm not for a tank season unless they somehow come out something awful like a 5-20 record. IF Tatum can actually return at some point next Spring then yeah, we can still make a run. I don't think our team without Tatum is *that bad* where we would miss the playoffs entirely. Definitely not a Top-3 seed with Jaylen as the #1, but somewhere around 4-6? I still think so. Worst case, play-in team, but we definitely aren't as bad as WAS/CHA/CHI and some of the other dregs.

Bucks in the 2021 Finals, OKC in the 2012 WCF.

Agreed.  At worst, we're late lottery next season.  True tanking isn't in the cards unless we get slammed with more injuries early on.  I'd rather have Tatum sit out the full season rather than rush back.  I read that Durant said it took 2 full seasons for him to truly feel back to himself.

I don't think the Finals will be a short series. I think it will be a long series. 6 or 7 games. Indiana will push OKC.

Yeah I think it'll kind of be like 2019. OKC (2019 Toronto) goes up 3-1. Indiana (2019 GSW) surprises with a road Game 5 win to stay alive. Then OKC takes Game 6 on the road to win it all.

These playoffs have been very fun and also has had some weird moments. Who is to say that won't happen this round too even though I acknowledge OKC is the more superior team and more healthy too.
