Cleveland's shot distribution is interesting. They are only 1-11 from three point range. They are 18-29 from two and 17-20 from the foul line.

So roughly 20% of their shots are coming from 3 and they are only makin 10% of those shots. Not good. They are clearly reluctant to shoot their 3 ball and they are not making them when they do take them.

Cleveland took the 4th highest percentage of 3s in the league at 45.7%. So they are taking about half as much as normal. And not making them.

D Mitchell 3-14 FGA + 10-12 FTA so effectively 8-20 FGA for 16pts. Not so good. Although it does help that he has 3 steals and 1 block to make up for some of possessions.

Garland is only 3-11 FGA. So their backcourt is 6-25 FGA. Strus 0-4. Starting perimeter trio 6-29 FGA. About 20% FG.

Not looking good for Cleveland.

Pacers should be the favorites out of the East IMO now

Agreed. I like what I have seen out of Indy more than what I have seen out of NYK.

Their pace (pun intended) is also something most teams will have trouble with. Boston did too last year, which is why it was miraculous we swept them lol.

I also think IND will run all over NY's tired legs given their heavy minutes due to Thibs' style

No Cavs FGM in 5 minutes ...

A 17-2 Pacers run during this 5min spell.

Good point by commentator about getting E Mobley the ball in the mid post or low post and letting him iso.

The guards aren't getting it done. That is your next best source of shot creation and CLE aren't using it at all.

Mobley is being asked to create from the three point line. Either to shoot the long ball or to drive from 25 feet out. Get to him 15 feet and in. Let him attack closer to the basket.

Both the Cavaliers and Celtics have had large stretches this round where they simply can't get a bucket or any points in a large span (usually 4+ minutes). In today's NBA, that's insane, but it's also costly in a playoff game. It's hard to fathom given their talents. Cleveland isn't even a team that relies on the 3 as much as the C's but even they struggle at times.

The C's and Cavs have had multiple games with double digit leads and it goes away in a quick second because they can't score or pile on outside of one game (Game 3s for both)

No Sam Merrill either.

With the offense going as badly as it is, it may be time to turn to Merrill and Ty Jerome. See if they can give you something.

Move D Hunter to PF with Mobley at center. That is your best offensive big man combination. Try something to get the offense going.

Kenny Atkinson just keeps going with things that aren't working. It has been 7 minutes now with no FGM.

If both the Cavs and OKC also go out in the second round, it?s going to make me feel alot better lol
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Atkinson did go with Ty Jerome and D Hunter at PF but he took off both Mobley and J Allen. Dean Wade at center. I do not like that. I want the interior scoring threat of Mobley or J Allen in this lineup.

G: Garland
G: Ty Jerome
F: Max Strus
F: D Hunter
C: Dean Wade

Ty Jerome ends the drought. Three pointer made.

As long as NY or Golden State don't win it all I don't mind whoever else wins.

I personally think a Pacers vs. Wolves or Thunder Finals would be awesome

This lineup is too lightweight with Dean Wade at center. Both offensively and defensively. Dean Wade is a very good defender but he doesn't offer the rim protection that E Mobley or J Allen does. That paint is wide open right now. Especially if Indy moves Dean Wade out of the way on a forced switch before the drive.

Update: Oh thank you. Jarrett Allen is back.

Immediately alters Mathurin's driving layup which missed. Ty Jerome hits a 2nd triple. Timeout Indy. Mathurin had a good look. He was unlucky. 9 point game.

I am fairly resentful towards Indiana right now. I love the way they play. I enjoy their team. But the luck they have had with opponents getting injured in the playoffs for 2 straight years now is ridiculous.

I want somebody to stomp on them.
