Aw man. That Q3 got away from GSW.

This will be a 3-1 deficit. Even with Steph, I don't think they can come back from this. And Steph ain't ready.

Minny may finish this in 5.

Hopefully CLE can win today and extend this series. Put Indiana some pressure. See how they respond to some adversity. They look like frontrunners to me. I don't think they will handle adversity well.

Commentators said the D Mitchell injury was the same one that caused him to miss games at the end of the regular season. He re-aggravated it last game. He is playing today though.

So hopefully we can see him have a strong game. He has a beautiful offensive arsenal when he is going well.

Game graphic = Kenny Atkinson is 5th coach in NBA History to win 64+ games with his new team.

I wonder who the other four are. Any ideas?

Guessing = Phil Jackson 1st year with Lakers. Alex Hannum with 76ers in 1967.

Update: The two guesses were correct. Bill Sharman 1st year with Wilt's Lakers won 69 games. That is 3. Missing 1.

KC Jones had only 62 wins his 1st year with Boston. Westphal also 62 wins 1st season with 1993 Suns. Hmm ... ahh, Steve Kerr. 67 wins with the 2015 Warriors. I did not think they won that many games in their first title campaign. Okay. That is the 5 guys.

* Phil Jackson - 1999-00 Lakers 67 wins
* Alex Hannum - 1966-67 76ers 68 wins
* Bill Sharman - 1970-71 Lakers 69 wins
* Steve Kerr - 2014-15 Warriors 67 wins
* Kenny Atkinson - 2024-25 Cavs 64 wins

Mmm ... feels like they lowered the standard there to get Kenny Atkinson into this list. All the other guys won 67-69 games. Kenny only got 64.

Fair dues to Garland.

You can tell that toe injury is still hurting him. He comes up limping ever so often when he irritates it. It's gotta be hard playing basketball makin quick change of direction moves & stops with that toe injury.

He is giving CLE whatever he can.

I like CLE not playing Ty Jerome. The guy has played like a bum all series.

I like this bigger Cavs lineup. A three man guard rotation of Garland, D Mitchell and Strus. Then bigger at forward with Mobley, D Hunter, Okoro. Centers J Allen & D Wade.

Bigger tougher defensive minded rotation.

Evan Mobley still reminds me of Vin Baker. You look at those guys, you see the physical talent, you see the skill level, and you just think "they should be more dominant than they actually are".

On track to have our 3rd blowout in a row.

This series has sucked for competitive games. The first 2 games were good but since then it has been one-sided basketball.

Cavs were up 40-23.

Indy has clawed it back to a 48-41 deficit.

They did that in about 4 minutes of game time. 8:40 the score was 42-25. 4:36 the score is now 48-41. An 18-8 run in 4 minutes to cut the deficit from 17 to 7.

Blowout averted. We may have a competitive game afterall.

Game graphic = Teams that have gone up 3-1 win the series 95.6% of the time.

Won = 280 series
Loss = 13 series

0 points and 3 fouls from Strus in 7 minutes

Garland only 4pts.

They need Strus or D Hunter (7pts) to step up in the 2nd half to supply some scoring to help D Mitchell & Mobley.

Haliburton is 5-6 FGA for 17pts. All 5-6 were threes. Plus 2-3 from the foul line. So 7 possessions = 17 points.
